We had the good fortune of connecting with Princess Boyd and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Princess, can you tell us more about your background and the role it’s played in shaping who you are today?
Hi! My name is Princess. Born in Tampa, stayed there until I was about 9 years old, then moved to Daytona. Needless to say, I’ve been in Florida all my life. My background and upbringing impacted who I am today on so many levels. Looking back to the very beginning, I could have been a foster child if it wasn’t for my grandma stepping in to save the day.  Now I am a first generation college graduate and a well-known, positive, real, and humble influencer. I’ve been through so many obstacles and learned so many lessons, but if I could pinpoint one particular impact it would be when I lived in my car, house hopped, or lived in a hotel. I was in this situation for 3 years all while keeping a smile on my face and being a positive influence for others. That alone showed me how strong I am and to appreciate the little things because God still provided. I always kept in mind that someone always has it worse than you. While keeping that momentum, I’ve been blessed to gain almost 870K followers on Tiktok and 121k followers on Instagram. I got to where I am today from one of my videos going viral. That video went viral everywhere! TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, etc. Because of that video, everything changed. My support grew immensely, along with my name. The video was mentioned in a Shaderoom article. Never would have thought that my name would be known in the internet world and I never would have thought that video would have gone viral. Was it easy? No! 3 years worth of consistency, ambition, and never giving up!  When I first started posting on Tiktok, it was because it was my escape. I went through a bad breakup and was homeless. So me posting was my way of dealing with what I was going through to get my mind off of it. I’m a firm believer that God makes no mistakes and honestly I’m happy I went through what I did because I don’t think I would be where I am today. I changed my mindset for the good and kept pushing. I went from having a TikTok but not posting to posting and having approximately 1 million followers on TikTok and Instagram combined. I went from not doing anything to creating my own brand, creating my own merch, and producing my first 2024 calendar. On top of that, I am nominated for 2 awards, Accessible Advocate and Unity Catalyst, for the 2024 Cheer Choice awards. God is amazing! Lessons I’ve learned along the way were to be open minded, remain humble, never give up, and know your worth. I always say social media can either make you or break you. There will be good and bad times about it, but ignore the bad and make more good. What I want the world to know is -you never know what will happen if you don’t try. Look at me. It took one video of mine to go viral and it opened up a lot of doors for me. From people wanting me to promote their products, host parties, or just simply wanting to connect with me. You never know who God might put in your life to change for the good. He did it for me with my followers. I want people to know not to be scared to step out of your comfort zone. I’m doing things I’ve never imagined doing, at least not this soon. I want people to know that the obstacles that are thrown at you, learn from them and overcome them. I don’t regret anything whether it was good or bad because I learned from it and it made my mind a lot sharper and made me more aware. Let my story be motivation.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?

What keeps me busy? Great question! A lot of things. I’m self-employed and just recently established my own business, It’s PeeBee, Babyyy LLC. TikTok  keeps me busy and prior to that was school. Because I don’t want to work as a Pharmacist anymore I’ve ventured out on a lot of things, which I’m happy I did. My grandma always told me to do what I love and not to choose a job because it pays more and I will stand on that. I’ve recently produced merch and established my own LLC so that’s keeping me on my toes. Consulting about merch, reaching out to numerous people to produce quality stuff, and just putting ideas into reality. Thank God for my friend. She really pushed me cause I have a feeling I still would have been procrastinating with producing merch. A day in the life of me consists of starting my day with an early wake up call thanks to my dog, Dash. I generally start my day with motivational videos from successful entrepreneurs. I enjoy hearing other people’s success stories. Watching these videos keeps me in a positive mindset and is very inspiring, considering school doesn’t really teach us how to handle the real world once we graduate. Once I’m done with those videos, I walk my new puppy, head to the gym, then start my day. In between, I study option trading.I used to be heavily involved in option trading and I want to get back into it. I make content for TikTok and I go live to interact with my supporters. My content consists of dancing, funny reactions, and me just simply being me. I try my best to show my personality in my videos and show everyone no matter how far you get, stay true to yourself and don’t change for anyone. Some of my supporters I’ve come across have literally told me, “I thought you’d be stuck up because you have so many followers.” Nope I could never! I’m human just like everyone else. I don’t care how many followers I have, I will never act like I’m too good. Although, I struggle with replying to DMs due to the fact I get so many of them, but I do try.   If I’m not doing that I’m constantly learning new things to keep my mind sharp. That’s something everyone should do. Keep their minds sharp and their eyes open. There’s a lot more ways to be successful other than working a 9-5. Nothing against working a 9-5 though. The internet alone is a powerful place. You never know!

The thing I’m most proud of is being an impact in other people’s lives. Whether I’m giving them advice or simply just making them laugh. The best feeling is knowing that I was able to put a smile on someone’s face when they are at their lowest.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’m not going to lie, I might be a little boring, lol. I absolutely love Dave and Busters, mini-golf, and go kart racing. I’m more of a play games type of girl rather than going to clubs. Plus, I don’t drink. Now don’t get me wrong, I love a good lounge with good music and food! Food is a way to my heart. I love trying new restaurants. One spot I would never get tired of is called La Fogata. They sell churrasco, rice and beans, sweet plantains, and I order a side of fried cheese! Love it! That’s usually my go to spot to take anyone that comes and visit me. As far as scenery, I love Wynwood. The art there is amazing. I love walking outside whether it’s around FIU campus or just simply sitting by some water.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Besides God, I don’t have any specifics except my supporters/followers. Regardless, if they didn’t hit that follow button and support me the way they do, I wouldn’t be in the position I am in today. So because of them I am forever grateful.
