Meet Quante’ Reid | Creative Entrepreneur & Podcast Host

We had the good fortune of connecting with Quante’ Reid and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Quante’, how do you think about risk?
Risk taking has shown me that no matter what the end goal is, the path to execute things in life especially ideas, big moves, or whatever it may be, takes courage. The journey to success, to healing, to learning and growing, are all based on taking risks.
I also look at risk as an opportunity to step into unexpected doors that you would have otherwise not been exposed to. People avoid taking risks because they may feel like they are unqualified.
The biggest risk that I have taken so far was quitting my job and moving to a new state to pursue my purpose as a full-time creator. As life moves on, I learned to just go for it anyway! There are endless possibilities that come with stepping out of your comfort zone.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Being a creator is more than a career for me, it’s a lifestyle. I love the endless possibilities and the fluidity of how you can bring different mediums, memories and experiences to create pieces. And from that, the creative experiences can bring different perspectives to each viewer.
It’s my hope and desire to always create from a place of Light. Light penetrates all darkness. In life, there are so many things that can dull our faith and our hope. I want to help people keep their faith.
One the of the biggest lessons I’ve learned as a creator is to trust the process. I’ve hosted paint parties, designed a variety of visual media, and I host my own podcast. There are seasons where certain styles of creativity come more easily than others and I’ve had to ride the wave of my inspiration. That’s what I want to communicate with my audience…How taking a step of faith and following purpose, can have many twists and turns. I had to learn and remember that purpose will always work out for the good. It just requires faith, trust, and, patience.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
The perfect week long trip for my best friend and I would be a Florida roadtrip where we visit different spots throughout the state.
Starting in Jacksonville. FL, we would go to the Cummer Museum of Arts & Garden and then to Fuji Sushi, our favorite Japanese buffet. Nearby, there’s a candle bar called, Wicked that would be a nice hands-on activity. To finish the day, we’d enjoy some delicious Mexican food at La Napolera ( in San Marco).
Our next destination is a few hours up the road, Orlando, Fl. We would spend the day at Discovery Cove, participating in a full day of activities. Next on the list is University Studios for a few hours, then out to Vietnamese cuisine gem, Twenty Pho hours.
Heading even further south, we would stop in Ft. Lauderdale to go to a roof top brunch spot and the beach.
Our final stop would obviously be, Miami, Fl. We are foodies and artists. So we would most likely make our way to explore some other art museums, The Design District and find some fun activities, like Artisan Playhouse, Battle Races, etc.
Finally, we can’t forget to stop and enjoy some CM Chicken and Night Owl Cookies.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to shout-out my parents, Grandma, siblings and the rest of my family for being so supportive through all of my endeavors. They never doubted my capabilities to strive in my talents, education, business, and purpose. Also, I would like to thank my best friend, my podcast producer, Jasmine, for being someone that I can share “creativity talks” with and help me bring my ideas to life. I believe it’s so important to have a community of friends and family that will support you in any way that they can.
