We had the good fortune of connecting with Racquel Goldy and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Racquel, can you share a quote or affirmation with us?
Everything happens for a reason. I know it’s cliche but growing up you never really thing about why things happen and working in the music/entertainment industry things definitely happen that are out of your control but further on down the line you realize that things happen and really do lead to opportunities that allow you to grow in your career.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am lucky as I have been someone who has been able to think of a dream and achieve it. I have always been someone who wants to love what they do and knew that was going to be working in the entertainment/music industry. Setbacks have never stopped me and I have always been able to pivot and make the most out of situations that others might think would make me want to stop what I was doing all together. I think my tenacity is what truly sets me a part from others and why I have been able to land success. Whether it was covering the Billboard music awards, hosting as In-Arena Host/Digital Host for the Florida Panthers to now hosting Good Vibes Radio mix show on Sirius XM Pitbull’s Globalization while posting content daily on my youtube channel and podcast…. there really is no stopping me. Lessons I have learned along the way is show business is not for the faint of heart. People won’t like you because your hair is the wrong color or you aren’t the right look but that is out of your control. You have to go into every situation knowing that you are doing the best you absolutely can and your hard work will pay off even though it might not be immediately. I have overcome challenges from having friends in the industry who are also going through the same things. It can be a lonely place if you don’t have the right support system. My mentors and family also keep me going and it just proves there really is room for everyone!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
As a born and raised Floridian this happens a lot! Miami and South Florida is so full of life and culture. You have to cover every area of Miami. South Beach, Wynwood, Brickell there really is something for everyone. Once the world is in full swing again you can catch me hanging out anywhere there is a pool party. EDM music x a day club is exactly what you need on a vacation! Rooftop bars are also a must! There is something about being in Brickell that makes you feel like you aren’t in Miami which I love it’s almost like a vacation from a vacation!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My family and close group of friends. They have supported me through the ups and downs of my career and wouldn’t be here without them!
