We had the good fortune of connecting with Richard Monis and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Richard, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The pillars of success that We focus on at Craft Cartel is creativity, exceptional hospitality and presentation. And every season we go back to the drawing board and we change all of our craft cocktail recipes that we offer to all of our clients for the upcoming season. This entire process is done in house and wheat put together specific ingredients that the average cocktail consumer doesn’t find in every bar and restaurant that they frequent. To further that experience with our craft cocktails we also focus heavily on the presentation factor. Every drink that we serve every guest must taste balanced, delicious oh and consistent, however the magic doesn’t stop there. We pride ourselves on our level of creativity to display and present our cocktails when we give them to our guests happy events. We do this by putting a lot of effort and thought into things like garnishes and also the glassware that we serve our cocktails in. Everybody’s been to an event and we’ve all had a drink at one but how many times have you approached a really nice bar and been able to order a really delicious fancy beautiful cocktail off of a nice framed cocktail menu, on top of that you get to watch the bartender work his magic and enjoy some thing that you’ve probably never had before in your life. Now it’s one thing to make a delicious cocktail and present it very elegantly to a crowd but I believe the real magic in what we do at Craft Cartel is the personalities of the individuals who work at our bars at our events. We are in the business of teaching people to make cocktails but we can certainly never teach somebody to have a great outgoing friendly personality and this is who we target to work at our events. We are people who have years of experience in the industry and are very familiar with craft cocktails and events. The combination of that professionalism both our recipes and presentation along with the personalities of the people who work for us is what I think creates the real magic for our company Craft Cartel and I believe that is what has led to the success over the years. Just like we always tell our team, every event is another opportunity to be on stage and perform for another crowd, we have stuff to this motto and it has lead to success year in and year out.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Craft Cartel is a full-service Craft Cartel Catering company. Seven years ago we popped up here in South Florida with the intention of changing the way that people enjoy cocktails at events. We take the same approach to our cocktails in service as any brick and mortar space. We only use locally sourced seasonal ingredients that we turned into homemade fresh ingredients for all of our cocktail recipes that we design and house ourselves. We don’t cut any corners and we’re always willing to be challenged with new creative ideas. We service all parts of the event industry including weddings, corporate events, Team building event, private parties, bar mitzvahs, if it needs a bar and delicious cocktails then where the guys for the job.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
The people who truly deserve the recognition for every bit of success that I manage to have with Craft Cartel at this point is every single bartender who’s ever come to an event in made a Drink for us. After seven years my role with the business is mainly to deal with the clients, book the events and of course make sure the staff as well prepared for every single event but once the event starts it’s the staff that makes the magic happen. Every compliment that comes from a client is coming because the staff at work every event did a magnificent job so those are the people that I wanna give a true shout out to you. And aside from all the people who work our events the other person I owe the biggest shout out to what do you my wife Annilu, You see it’s not my wife’s job to do anything with my business but she steps in and does it every day. Without my wife I would just be getting busier and more disorganized. Everybody needs a rock Klingande to you when things are getting a little crazy and without my wife I’m not sure how I could ever make it through the trials and tribulations that the event industry brings about.
