We had the good fortune of connecting with Sergey Gordienko and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sergey, why did you pursue a creative career?
For me, pursuing an artistic career was a very organic and natural choice. I was creating since I can remember, in large part due to the early influence that my mom, an artist herself, extended over me through her belief and support. My life has been the culmination of conscious decisions within a path that resonated for me and which I’ve always felt brought me closer to where I needed to be professionally as well as personally. I’ve made choices regarding work, the places of my residence, and the people I’m surrounded by in order to be aligned with that which I love.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
All my artworks are full of love and positive energy. All of them have a message/mantra/slogan DO WHAT YOU LOVE. I think these are the most important words in the world. And if we all are doing what we really love and what brings us the most joy, the happier we will be. And with all this positive energy that we spread around we all change the world for a better place. That’s what all my art and my life are about. To remind people who they are and why we are here. To be happy and live life full of potential. In my art I love to use different mediums and techniques, but mostly its acrylic, oil, spray can on canvases or wood panes. I also enjoy creating wearable art, this is how I called customized jeans or leather jackets, sneakers or bags. Besides that Im passion about technology and I’m trying VR, AR, NFT and Metaverse as a addition tool to create something beautiful.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I have so many, but this is the first came to my mind: – South Point Park during sunset – is one of the most beautiful views to Miami downtown landscape and bay area. Best spot to do yoga or meditation practice.
– Manna Life Food is the best vegan cafe in Downtown Mia, everything is healthy and fresh and delicious.
– Love Life Cafe – is my second home, located in Wynwood.
– Pura Vida in the Design District – an amazing spot in a beautiful area.
– Wynwood of course is one of my fav spots in general, so many beautiful art everywhere you look
Under the mango tree – this is my favorite vegan spot in south beach, the best acai bowls ever!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
So many amazing people who I want to say thank you and give them shoutout to. This is a few names that came to my mind first. Maria Tokareva – amazing local artist who inspired and supported me in the beginning of my artistic journey. My mom of course for her support and believes in me. Oleg Singareev – amazing creative human being who was my role model for when I was a tinager. Luiz Cent – my amazing friend and one of the first art collectors. And so many people have bought pieces of my creation either it’s a t-shirt or hand painted jacket or framed canvas. All of you guys helped me so much on my journey and I’m so grateful to meet most of you and we bild real connection through my art and most important the message that resonates with you. DO WHAT YOU LOVE.
