We had the good fortune of connecting with Sierra Janisse and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Sierra, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I love that I get to put on my creative problem solving hat every single day. Designing brands and online platforms for my clients not only gives me the opportunity to think outside the box – it demands it!
One of the reasons I wanted a creative career was that I could use my ideas to help others spread their ideas and grow their audiences. There’s nothing quite so positively contagious as creativity. When we devote time and energy into creative pursuits, the end results inspire others to become more creative as well.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My business, Sierra Lin Design, builds holistic brands, websites, and funnels for online business owners. I’m passionate about helping female entrepreneurs get their message out in front of more of their ideal people. While many design agencies focus on one unique piece of their client’s funnel (whether branding, design, or implementation) at Sierra Lin Design we’re all about forging long term connections with our clients and serving them through each season of business as their brand evolves over time.
I’m honored to have worked with six and seven-figure CEOs, TEDx speakers, bestselling authors, and passionate visionaries from around the world. I learn something new every day from my amazing clients. They continually inspire me to remain open minded and see the world in new, positive ways.
When I first started designing, I definitely did not expect to end up where we are today. I started building websites as a part hobby, part side-hustle while still working my full time 9-to-5. Over time, I realized I wanted to devote my energy full time into my business, and I couldn’t be happier with that decision!
Straddling my 9-to-5 and Sierra Lin Design presented a lot of challenges as I struggled to balance work, and more work, and life. Tackling my goals has given me the opportunity to grow as a person as well as a business owner, as I’ve been forced to reconsider my priorities and stay conscientious of what really matters to me. It’s been a wild, rewarding ride, and I wouldn’t regret a minute of it.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to dedicate my Shoutout to my husband, Samuel. I’m am so blessed to have my husband’s continual encouragement and support throughout every season of life and business.
