We had the good fortune of connecting with Steffany Lee and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Steffany, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I didn’t have a thought process behind starting my business. In December 2017, I was helping my friend discover his fulfilling career path. He said to me “You know you can make a living doing this. There are so many people who NEED this service!” At the time I laughed and didn’t do anything about it.
The following February, I got a call from another friend who was most upset. He said “You are the only one who can help. My employees are not working and I don’t know what to do. Please come work your magic.” I showed up and had an interview with each employee. When he wrote the check I had to open a business bank account to deposit it.
Recently he told me “you know you are the only professional I’ve ever hired!” What I learned in this instance are some times one’s purpose guides one to action. I, also, learned one must have trust in one’s self and faith that things are happening as they are supposed to.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
As a Career Catalyst, I quickly and easily empower people to discover their fulfilling career paths through intuitive conversation and empathic ability. I love hearing what people want and discovering their strengths, talents, gifts, and purpose with questions. I love seeing them “glow” when they discover who they are and their why. I do this for individuals and companies in their offboarding process.
The lessons I learned along the way is self-acceptance, knowing who I am, and knowing who my audience is. This is My Way. This is my “secret sauce.” And I want the world to know that I accept them as they are to the point that I want to get to see their “True You”… The Glowing You! The You With Purpose! The You that you may not know exists or that you keep telling yourself you can’t be! I see you, and I am honored to be with you!
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I love Asian restaurants and know quite a many in Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties! From Korean to Hot Pot, Chinese to Vietnamese, Japanese BBQ to Thai, Persian to Middle Eastern, I thoroughly enjoy Asian cuisine. I also enjoy nature and South Florida history. Walking around and sharing tidbits of history, taking in the sun, and being on the water are activities that I share with friends visiting.
Recently I’ve been discovering engineering places like Hialeah’s lift bridge in Miami Springs and the water control structure in the Everglades. I also got to see the obelisk on Flagler Memorial Island in Biscayne Bay and Valujet 592 Memorial in the Everglades. I’ve lived in Miami for most of my life and it is just within the past 6 months that I got to experience these treasures.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Lamont Mignott Esq for making me start my business! Las Comadres Club, Jaime Nolan, Sandy Allende Rodriguez, Lilian Santini, Ilona Castro, Mio Santana, Katrina Munajj, and Tony Calabrese for loving me, supporting me, and empowering me to see that I can do this AND SO MUCH MORE! Landmark Worldwide for clearing away what’s in the way with my inner dialog. Lynn Su for introducing me to Landmark Forum. And, The Big Leap by Gay Hendricks showed me how to overcome my Upper Limits.
