We had the good fortune of connecting with Symone Rodney Diamond Fedrick and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Symone and Diamond, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Taking risks are so, so important when you have a small business. When you want to get started with your business you’re normally in a situation where you have all the time and ideas to begin making things happen, but not the money. Majority of small business owners are people who still rely on a paycheck and have other responsibilities. And even if you are financially stable, you may genuinely be scared of taking that step that could change your life. Because in the beginning you never know if the risk will be for better or worse. Though sometimes it seems like it won’t be worth it, we believe you taking that risk when you feel it’s right is so important. It will either be a blessing or a lesson.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
The Cave Entertainment may seem like your average entertainment company but we are so much more. We aim to be peoples one stop shop when it comes to entertainment. Whether you need a venue, food, drinks, hookahs, staff, or even someone to do the planning. You can come to The Cave Ent and get professional, reliable help. Between the both of us we have a combined 10 years of experience in the industry and are ready to show everyone what we can really do. It took a lot of risks and leaps of faith to get where we are today. Literal blood, sweat, and tears have gone into all of the success we’ve achieved over the past 3 years. Being in the hospitality business has given us both experience in customer service and satisfaction. We’ve learned that everyone who’s close to you personally can’t be close to your business. The journey to being a successful business comes with personal and financial losses. You have to persevere and use your failures as fuel.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
For dinner in Miami we’d definitely recommend Fogo de Chao. It’s a Brazilian Steakhouse in downtown Miami. For a bar we definitely would have to check out The Wharf in Wynwood. They always have the most entertaining themed events and amazing food trucks.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Our staff, family, friends, and supporters are the heart of our operation. If it wasn’t for them believing and encouraging in us, we may have given up a long time ago. We wouldn’t have been able to accomplish a lot of our goals without them standing behind us. All of their contributions make all of our dreams a reality every single day.
