We had the good fortune of connecting with Taimara Dietsch and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Taimara, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
When I was a teenager, I fell in love with Psychology and knew that is what I wanted to study after high school. Around the same time, I learned I had a gift in the mystical arts, which lead me to discover a whole other side of spirituality I didn’t know about. I became friends with a guy who knows how to read the cards and would read them for me when I was about 16-17 years old. I later learned how to read them myself and have been reading ever since. Fast forward to 2018 when I came up with the idea of joining my main two loves: Psychology and Spirituality and having this be the way I helped others.
What should our readers know about your business?
I’ve always wanted to help others and, even though the world disappoints me sometimes, I still want to do what I can to help. I believe that is what lead me to become a mental health therapist and also what lead me to learn how to read tarot cards. So when I came up with the idea for The Mystical Geek Coach, I started doing research to see if the idea I had in my head was something that had been done/was being done…and I found out that this was not being done (except I believe by one other person, and something similar, not exactly the same). So I created The Mystical Geek Coach and now I do some coaching and/or therapy along with the readings to help the person inquiring better techniques they can practice, different ways to practice self-love and self-care, etc,
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Miami has so many great places to explore, and every day we have more and more! To eat, I’d take my friend to some of my favorite places: Berries in the Grove, Little Hen, Saman, Doggi’s Arepa Bar, and, of course, the place anyone visiting Miami must eat at La Carreta! The places I’d take my friend would be starting with my favorite place in Miami, Vizcaya, but I’d also take her to the PAMM Museum, to Fairchild Tropical Garden, walk around Wynwood looking at all the cool the art, take her to the Everglades, walk around Lincoln Road, Merrick Park, and do some shopping in Dolphin Mall. For drinks: Yambrella, and any of the new beautiful rooftop bars that are opening up more of every day (I don’t drink, so I honestly don’t know where to go, sorry). And, of course, take her/him to the beach!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I am blessed to have a few very supportive people in my life that have helped me kick my business off the ground, and continue to help me grow. Some of those people are: Isaac Ortega, graphic designer, who designed my logo, my long-term friend Cristina Luiggi (@sexliesandvynils) who supported and believed in me since day one, Melissa Lovio Sanchez (@melificent and blogger) who supports me by sharing my posts and giving referrals whenever she can, as well as Annie Vazquez (@thefashionpoet & @anniethealchemist) who is the person that pushed me to get back to investing time in my business after a hiatus and that shares my posts and information every time she can.
