We had the good fortune of connecting with Tanty Sidibe and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tanty, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
As an avid fashion lover, I founded Simply Tanty Wardrobe as a creative and luxury consignment outlet where I compiled all of my daily inspirations, findings and photos of my personal style and shopping experiences. I wanted to create a website where you can shop beautiful, classy and affordable products at an affordable cost.

What should our readers know about your business?
Simply Tanty Wardrobe is all about finding beautiful, classy and affordable luxury fashion pieces. Because you don’t need to spend thousands to look expensive. At Simply Tanty Wardrobe, we also offer personal styling and shopping to our clients who need guidance.

The launch of the business wasn’t necessarily easy as again it comes with learning different skills such as building a website, launching it, promoting the business and the products, advertisements etc. But today i must say I’m happy to see my hard work starting to pay off.

I have learned along the way that launching an online clothing boutique is no easy feat. Not only does it require time and money, but more importantly it requires creativity.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
First spot for lunch will be at Sadelle’s in Coconut Grove, Drinks at Sugar at the East Hotel and dinner at Marion with music so we can dance the night away.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to dedicate this to my support system that is my family and close friends for believing in my vision and encouraging me throughout this process.
