We had the good fortune of connecting with Tiffany Dorsey and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tiffany, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My thought process pertained to nothing other than the extreme passion that I have for dining. We all have to do something to provide a living for ourselves. The way I see it, you might as well get paid for something that’s going to give you fulfillment beyond the monetary aspect.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I took a risk moving to Miami from Maryland because I loved the culture and I was tired of shoveling the snow Lol! I wasn’t financially ready to move out of state but I needed to take a leap of faith and try something new. Although I always knew I would have a career in food, it really took off when I moved to Miami. I met a lot of amazing foodies and really focused on my business. I’m known for providing restaurant suggestions for my local area and beyond. My goal is to host monthly food events featuring local chefs, vendors and wine tasting in other cities. For now, because of Covid-19, I will be hosting virtual cooking classes and interviews with chefs and other entrepreneurs. I would also love to have my own show where travel to different cities to try new restaurants.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
It’s so hard to choose. Miami has so many amazing restaurants. I would start by the along them to Puerto Sagua in South Beach. It’s a Cuban restaurant with a amazing Sangrias and an oxtail stew that melts in your mouth. Next, I would take them to Victory in Midtown. I would order the shrimp and lobster Alfredo or the ribeye steaks. Make sure you make it to happy hour because their drinks are amazing. I love riding the Freebee carts because it feels like your own private chauffeur. They’re only available in certain areas but it’s great to ride in Wynwood or South Beach. Lastly, I would make sure I take them to the beach to just enjoy the water and beautiful sunshine.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to dedicate this story to my family friends who are always patiently waiting to eat their food until I take a picture…or two.
