We had the good fortune of connecting with Victor Antunez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Victor, what’s something about your industry that outsiders are probably unaware of?
Everyone says we need more autism awareness, but let’s be real: we’re not lacking awareness, we’re drowning in it.

What families living with disabilities really need is something different. They need answers. They need funding. They need straight talk and real strategies from people who’ve been through it and aren’t afraid to call out what’s missing.

This podcast isn’t here to raise awareness. It’s here to help families take action. To give them tools to build stability, security, and a real financial future in a system that was never built with them in mind.

What should our readers know about your business?
I’m a Realtor who specializes in helping families with special needs find homes that truly work for them. I’m also an autism dad, so I know firsthand that “wait and see” isn’t a strategy.

This isn’t just about awareness. It’s about action—giving families real tools, honest answers, and a path to stability, security, and long-term independence.

Because whether it’s where you live or how you plan for the future, your home should support your life, not complicate it. If you’re raising a child with autism or any disability, and you’re done with vague advice and empty promises, this is the place for you.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend came to town for a week, I wouldn’t take them to the usual tourist traps. I’d show them the real Miami, the one I grew up in. We’d start the week with cafecito & croquetas in Little Havana, then grab lunch at Versailles where the locals still go. One afternoon we’d hit the Pérez Art Museum and catch the breeze by the bay, then head to a rooftop in Brickell to just take it all in. Brunch at The Front Porch Café in South Beach is non-negotiable, and we’d people watch down at South Pointe Park, maybe catch a cargo ship heading out. We’d recharge with a nature walk through Fairchild Tropical Garden, then grab dinner at Garcia’s by the river. To close out the week, we’d head to Black Point Marina for fresh seafood and that unbeatable local vibe. Nothing fancy, just good food, salt air, and that feeling like you’re exactly where you’re supposed to be. That’s my Miami—family, roots, and sunshine that feels like home.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Absolutely! A huge shoutout goes to Miami’s Community Newspapers for giving me the opportunity to podcast on their platform. They didn’t just offer me a mic, they offered me a platform to amplify the voices of special needs families and disability advocates across Miami-Dade. In a world where these stories are often overlooked, their support means more than they probably realize. Their commitment to community isn’t just a slogan; it’s real, and I’m proud to be part of it.
