We had the good fortune of connecting with Victor Jacques and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Victor, what do you attribute your success to?
My work ethic. I always strive for being the hardest worker in the room and P.R.I.D.E. myself with the effort I give everyday. With the acronym P.R.I.D.E. standing for personal responsibility in daily excellence. Success is based upon the effort you give day in and day out!
What should our readers know about your business?
What sets us apart for other business is we are not just a gym. I consider us a sport recreational facility that encompasses a one stop shop for athletes. A place to work on your physical training, skill set training and most importantly the recovery portion of training. I got to where I’m at in business today by my work ethic and the relationships I build with my clients. By genuinely caring about their progress we customize programs to their individual needs. Things that come easy don’t last so I knew going into this business there was going to be hard points and I was going to whether the storm one day at a time. Opening the business the first two years was rough but I fortunate enough to move back in with my parents to pursue this goal of mine until the business got on it’s feet. I want the world to know that this isn’t a cookie cutter gym. This is a facility that’s here to give back to the community by offering training styles that professionals do. The workout won’t be easy and neither is life but when you push through adversity and come out on top there’s a sense of Victory!
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
The majority of my friends come from up north so we’d definitely have to go to the beach and enjoy some time and restaurant down in south beach. My next place to take them would probably be my house. I like to host people and cook. So we’d probably have a big BBQ and enjoy my backyard and landscape that I take a lot of pride in.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
First and foremost I wouldn’t be where I’m at today in life with out my faith and support of my family. They always pushed me to purse my dreams no matter how hard and scary they might’ve been. So I credit all my success to my upbringing and the life lessons learned as kid growing up. Second is my college strength coach Eric Klein. A true professional to say the least, he showed me how to structure a program to allow the greatest room for success.
