We had the good fortune of connecting with Victoria Johnson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Victoria, what’s your definition for success?
Success, to me, is waking up genuinely excited because I get to create something that feels authentic to who I am. It’s those meaningful moments where I know I’m impacting others in a positive way. Whether that’s through a social media post or simply showing up as myself. Real success happens when your passion, purpose and peace all coexist in harmony. That’s the kind of life I’m building and that’s what I’m proud of.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
As a digital creator, authenticity, confidence and storytelling remain at the forefront. I create content that reflects who I am and all the things I love. Events, food and of course my travel adventures of your favorite Girl On The Go. What sets me apart is that I don’t post for trends, I post for connection and empowerment. Whether through lifestyle content, empowering messages or brand partnerships that align with my values. , I make sure everything I do feels true to my heart.
I’m most proud of the growth, both personal and professionally. Getting to where I am today hasn’t been easy at all. @ShaneJustin gave me my first opportunity when he held his first fashion show. I can remember all the emotions I felt of excitement and then fear. I called him to tell him that he could find someone else to host because I had never done it before and of course I tried to give him 50 other reasons why I wanted to back out. In that moment he told me “I wanted the best, so I chose you”. There have been moments of doubt, comparison and definitely burnout but I’ve learned that every challenge is just a new chance to grow. I’ve mastered the art of telling myself that no one is me and that’s my superpower. Even when I felt overlooked, I remembered that my purpose is bigger than the applause and recognition because even if it looks like a big opportunity to seize, sometimes it’s best to pass on it. I want every person who comes across this to know that it doesn’t matter your circumstances. When you walk in purpose, you don’t have to chase anything. My journey is proof of it. My brand is not just for content, its for impact!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There are so many people who’ve poured into me in different ways. Without a doubt, God first as my foundation. Then, my family. They’ve sacrificed so much to afford me an amazing life and held me accountable even when I didn’t want to be. They pushed me beyond any limit and raised me with the mantra that “To whom much is given, much is required”. I’m also incredibly grateful for my my tribe of friends @mr.endurancefit, @prettimonica, @lamardeon, @jayyy.crochets, @tiffanyneecole and @shanejustin. They celebrate every win, big or small, and constantly remind me that this is only the beginning. Last but not least, to every person that supports me in any way that they can, THANK YOU! I do not take it lightly each time I receive a DM, like on a post, email to share how you were impacted or every opportunity granted.
