We had the good fortune of connecting with Walter Pullom and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Walter, can you share the most important lesson you’ve learned over the course of your career?
The most important lesson my business and career has taught me so far: simply is to be considerate and to stay grounded. I try my best to be considerate to people and at the end of the day we are all human, there is no reason to be disrespectful, inconsiderate to others while we are trying to survive the jungles of real life. Every day I wake up is a chance to do the right thing and never treat someone poorly or in a condescending manner. I have learned I needed to be considerate and graceful, knowing intrinsically when to close the chapter to negativity/toxicity all together, and move on.

To stay grounded is an important lesson for myself, I always remember the days when I was really struggling, the times in which I was trying my best to make it through school and see everything through. Being humble is never a sign of weakness (just as kindness), but a very endearing quality to have. People know when you are genuine and really care. No matter how talented or self-proclaimed genius a person may be if they are nasty and arrogant it all amounts to nothing in the end. To stay grounded introspectively showed me how I would want to build my legacy for my family and to pass it on. Would I want to be remembered as a nasty, rude, selfish person? Or would I want to be remembered by my actions and how I made people feel?

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
What sets me apart from others is living in my truth, loving, and appreciating who I am. My art is inspired from people and life. My art and body of work are soulful. When I create there’s a variety of creative avenues that I take. I try to not to do the same thing or create the same sound repeatedly when it comes to my art.

I am most excited about my original Lil Timmy science voyage composition art piece.

The lessons I’ve learned along the way is whatever you put out there, stays right with you. So being mindful of the words I say, the actions I take, and the energy I put out because everything comes back around. Everyone’s circumstances are different. So why be judgmental when you don’t know what someone else is going through or the personal storms they could be facing from within. I choose to be a source of comfort to others.

I have an internal incantation: The love that I put out there I know it must come back to me in great ways.
What I want the world to know about me is that I am so miniscule compared to the vast universe and grand creation of things. But as miniscule we as humans can leave a great, uplifting impact even with all the toxicity going on today.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend was visiting the area for a week. I would take them to J. Alexander’s Restaurant, which has some of the best food I have had in my life. We would go to Central Park in Plantation, FL to hang out, walk & catch-up, and play some basketball. Some of the most fun and interesting places to check out would be taking a cruise on Royal Caribbean Cruise Line. And going to beautiful, tranquil tropical destinations on the cruise ship itinerary.
Another great place to visit is Poppy’s Pizza in Lauderhill FL, which has delicious cuisine since I was a kid. Amazing pizza experience!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to dedicate my shout out to everyone who has genuinely supported me.

The great efforts of everyone who is in my corner help make me the person I am today. Thank you to the readers!
