We had the good fortune of connecting with Xenia Marcinko and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Xenia, what is the most important factor behind your success?
I think the success behind my brand is that we find ourselves by helping others find themselves. We are storytellers and we believe that in order for a brand to be successful it needs to share a message that comes from the root of the person behind the product or business.
Therefore, we focus our work on passionate and fearless innovators that want to take the road of searching the answers inside, finding their core, their essence, to finally share a powerful story that moves others.
Mixing archetypal psychology (based on the work of Carl Gustav Jung), with our experience on producing stories has led us to a path where we can connect with our clients in deep levels so we can pull off a powerful message that really creates the bond between the audience and the brand.
So, when you do your inner work, when you try everyday to know yourself deeper and deeper, you find the answer, something that clicks. And that click is the way back up to do something that helps others and brings joy to the universe.
We are the bridge, the guide that enlightens that journey.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My name is Xenia Marcinko, I’m the Executive Producer of The Magus Films. We are a content development agency and video production house based in Miami, FL.
We focus on working with passionate and fearless innovators. People, brands and businesses that want to step up their game and connect on a new level with their audiences.
In order to do that we innovated by creating a new tool. We use archetypal psychology, based on the concepts of Carl Gustav Jung and we mix that up with our knowledge and experience producing videos.
Every piece of work that you’ll see from us will be different because it comes from the core of our clients, it is a reflection of their essence and it is connected with their purpose.
Since 2011 we have produced more than 300 projects and we have had the chance to work with more than 80 brands like Crocs, Nestlé, Pepsi, 7up, Kelloggs, etc. and marketing agencies such as Leo Burnett, Publicis, Saatchi & Saatchi, Flourish Media, etc.
If you want to know a little bit more about myself, I am 33 years old, I am Venezuelan and this winter I will celebrate my 4th year anniversary living here in the US.
Besides producing videos, I have a cat that I love (@matissedeamor), and I enjoy painting, writing and everything that has to do with movies: going to the cinema, binge watching them on Netflix and also working on producing them.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
My Miami experience will definitely have:
Beach and Kayaking:
Virginia Key as first choice (specially on sunset) to enjoy the beautiful sightseeing.
Crossing Key Biscayne bridges (one of my favorite drives).
Walks and chills in Coral Gables:
Miracle Mile and Giralda avenues.
Stop for coffee at Crema Gourmet and dessert at Chocolate Fashion.
Buy a book at Books and Books and then go to watch a movie at Coral Gables Art Cinema.
And then for dinner a ramen at Ichimi or pizza at Pummarola.
Of course we need to have a Venezuelan meal:
Doggie’s or Punto Criollo on Coral Gables (breakfast)
Francisca’s at Doral (lunch)
And another one at Rakija Grill (Downtown Miami) because I am also Croatian and they make really good Croatian food.
And because I love dessert we can also have:
A donut from Salty Donut
An ice cream from Cielito
and a cake from Fireman Derek’s Bake Shop
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to start this shoutout to 2 men that have been with me all the way in this career path.
One is Luis Bond (@luisbond009) who believes in me in every project, idea or thing that I want to try and create. Who encourages me to do it no matter what. Who also is there to remind me that we are here to shine, to be bold, to dream big. He is the genius mind behind The Magus Films and the one who taught me to look inside myself.
He is a film director, screenwriter and creative of @themagusfilms
The other one is Daniel Rodríguez (@darmander) who has become my support and lifeboat here in the US since 2018. We both left our country Venezuela and having him here for me every step of this way has been something I will always be grateful for. He is also the one who has encouraged and pushed me to grow and to be better with my business.
He is the one that creates the magic of all our projects, Cinematographer and editor of @themagusfilms
I also want to mention my family (mami, papi and my big brother) people that have let me grow and dream as big as I can.
And finally, 3 women entrepreneur groups that have become my go-to for everything here in the US as a women business owner: Las Comadres @lascomadres.club, Flourish Media @flourishmediaco and Women for Success Non-Profit @women4successnonprofit . If you are in need of a support system, friends and networking, you have to be part of them, like, right now!.
