That is a great question and not an easy one to answer. We often are directed or choose to go down a certain path but might not be the right one, after all there are endless possibilities. So how do you know to redirect or keep pushing? Sometimes we keep pushing in spite of the signs that this isn’t for us. Or we give up too soon. So how to know? Read more>>

The most meaningful thing I’ve done as a parent is to take care of my own well-being and lead by example. I believe that when my daughter sees me nurturing myself—mind, body, and spirit—it shows her the importance of self-love and balance. I want her to grow up knowing she deserves to care for herself and follow her dreams wholeheartedly. By prioritizing my health, happiness, and growth, I hope to create a loving foundation where she feels inspired to live authentically and embrace life fully. My greatest wish is that she feels empowered to build a life she loves, just as I strive to do every day. Read more>>

Simple — is the answer as to why I’m doing what I love the same as when I started? Has it changed for the better or for the worse? Does my answer still align with my current life and who I am as a person? In my case, I love to act and create art because it is the best way I know how to help people. I don’t see myself making any kind of drastic career change in the future. However, if that answer to “why’ becomes one of “because It’s what I’ve done”, then maybe it’s time to start a new journey. Personally, I think you can’t be a sustainable or effective actor unless your heart is in it. Once the heart is gone, the impact of the art and the meaning goes along with it. Read more>>

There is no Plan B in my mind. I HAVE to make this work. With that in mind, I put my 100% into everything I do – client relationships, coaching, and working on my business. I heard a great quote from another entrepreneur, “It isn’t about winning the race, it’s about staying in the game.” For every 10,000 gyms and personal trainers that start, another 9,000 close. The fitness industry’s rate of failure and burnout is high and I understand it will be a grind to create a sustainable business that supports me and my family. I’ve already endured immense failure, hardship, and struggle as a young entrepreneur and it’s just a part of the learning process. Read more>>

I think the most important thing that my wife and myself have done as parents with Enasia Colon and Emilio Colon Jr in terms of impacting our children is explaining to our children that anything that you want in life will not happen without work. Meaning, if you want to be successful in business, if you want to be successful with relationships personal or business if you wanna be successful with your spirituality in your community, whatever it may be it’s not gonna come without the work being done. And also expressing to them that that process of work usually is very very difficult, but the reward is always worth it at the end even if in the beginning, you can’t see it. Read more>>

What makes me happy is seeing improvement and positive strives in the military community. As a military child and a military child caregiver, I noticed many of the challenges that are faced by many of those in the military community – service member, down to the children and spouses. Supporting the military community is a lifelong passion of mine. Those who serve on the homefront deserve just as much credit as our service members do. I don’t want to take any value away from our service members, but our military families deserve to be supported just as much as they are. Read more>>

Doing right by people matters the most to me. For the simple fact that it’s a choice that goes into the decisions we make, in business, in daily life, in general. So over 10+ years of being in business, both personally and professionally I’ve never been associated with a bad deal. Always have a Client First mindset, any L’s on the horizon I’ve been the type of leader that takes them on for my clients, partners, family and friends. Read more>>

Most people think that being an art teacher is just supervising play time for kids, and an easy job. Having taught art on all levels, preschool through geriatric students for over forty years, I have trouble with this opinion. I taught elementary art traveling to the students for fifteen years at a primary school that was designed in the 1950″s without an art classroom. Pushing a cart in 90 degree heat, with five minutes between classes was not play time for me. I taught an enriched program which incorporated geography and social studies. There wasn’t a prescribed curriculum. I created one. Read more>>
