We had the good fortune of connecting with WorkPlay Branding and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi WorkPlay Branding, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Lyrik: Our business came in a more organic way and evolved with time as most do! I knew I absolutely wanted to be an entrepreneur and combined the skills of branding, content creation & photography into a package and the rest was history! As we sold the package and focused in on our clients, our marketing and our sales…the company evolved into what it is today!

Traci: I was working as a freelance consultant in healthcare before starting WorkPlay with my daughter Lyrik. I had witnessed Lyrik create amazing visual content for her own blog and then she taught me how to use a camera to help shoot some of her campaigns. I started dabbling in photography with some of my clients and realized how needed it was for brands to stand out professionally online. It really started coming together when Lyrik was graduating college. We decided to go for it and WorkPlay has been growing ever since!

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Lyrik: We’re on a HUGE mission to give accessible branding and beautiful visuals to small businesses all over the world! With our price point of $497 per month, the sky’s the limit for our members to be able to create visual campaigns in their marketing that drive sales & awareness!

Traci: I want the world to know that it’s possible for their brand to stand out and differentiate themselves from all their online competition through the Workplay Method! I love when our clients have that “aha” moment when they realize just how important their visuals are to their marketing efforts and sales numbers after they level-up using the WorkPlay Method.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Lyrik: Everyone needs to experience a restaurant called Pane & Vino on Miami Beach, it’s some of the best Italian food I’ve ever had in the U.S. & then head over to Mid-Beach to get the beautiful Miami aesthetic without all the crazy partying and tourists!

Traci: My neighborhood! Edgewater. When I visited Lyrik during her college days at FIU I would always stay in the touristy areas so I could never see myself living here. Fast forward to 2021 and we made the move from Seattle to Miami. Our neighborhood is amazing! People are incredibly friendly. I especially love Margaret Pace Park. It is a gem in the middle of the city. We enjoy getting a coffee from Pinocchio’s (LOVE their coffee but the staff even more!) and walking across the Venetian bridge. I take everyone who visits across the bridge to get their Miami skyline pics:)

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Lyrik: I would dedicate this shoutout to our COO, Sierra and all the COO or integrator type roles out there! They never get enough recognition for what they do on a daily basis and truly allow you to sit as a CEO role in your company. They’re the heart of any business!

Traci: Sierra, our COO, is the glue that keeps us together! She is wildly loyal and unbelievably smart combined with the fact that she is the nicest person you will ever meet. She sincerely cares for each of our clients and our employees.

Nominate Someone: ShoutoutMiami is built on recommendations and shoutouts from the community; it’s how we uncover hidden gems, so if you or someone you know deserves recognition please let us know here.
