We had the good fortune of connecting with Ramon Moreno and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ramon, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking.
Simply put, nothing meaningful in life is achieved without taking risks. Growth and greatness often require stepping out of your comfort zone — and more often than not, that means embracing discomfort.

I began my journey in the entertainment world back in 2005 alongside two of my closest friends. Together, we formed a Latin boy band called “Los Primeros.” We took a leap of faith, chasing a dream in the music industry. What we didn’t realize at the time was how profoundly that experience would shape us — especially me — in ways I never anticipated.

From performing in a boy band, to becoming an MC for Mitzvahs, Weddings and Corporate Events, and now serving as a Corporate Director at Mike Sipe Entertainment, every step of my path was paved with risk. And looking back, I’m incredibly grateful for each one I took.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
What sets me apart from other MCs or Directors is my ability to truly connect with people in the moment. As an MC, I pride myself on being engaging, with a presence and personality that naturally draw people in. It’s not just about being energetic — it’s about knowing when to elevate the energy and how to adapt it to suit the tone of the event.

Whether I’m hyping up 100 kids at a Mitzvah, hosting a corporate event for 500 industry professionals, or delivering the perfect blend of elegance and excitement at a wedding — that adaptability can’t be taught. It’s something I’ve had since childhood. Being in front of a crowd feels natural, and reading the room and responding accordingly is a switch that just flips on for me.

As Director of Corporate Events, I help the talent at Mike Sipe Entertainment, with my years of hands-on experience in the field are what allow me to lead with confidence and guide our talent toward delivering their best at their particular event. That same background also allows me to collaborate with event planners and DMC’s by understanding what is needed to assist in executing an Event on the Corporate, Wedding, and Mitzvah side.

Professionally, it’s taken a lot to get to where I am today. The path wasn’t always easy — I’ve put in long hours, faced setbacks, and had to learn through failure how to come back stronger. Those experiences taught me patience, perseverance, and the value of commitment which I think is the biggest lesson of the three.

Above all, I want the world to know that Ray Moreno is someone who doesn’t just love to entertain — I live to inspire and help those around me. I got a really big heart, and those that know me know how much love I have to give both personally and professionally. I can honestly say that my journey is proof that when life gets tough, if you believe in yourself, stay true to who you are, follow your hear, and do the work, I promise you that anything is possible!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Oh man, don’t tell me that — anyone who knows me knows I LOVE TO EAT! I’m Cuban, so the first spot I’d recommend is Casavana in Miami Lakes. If you’re in the mood for a classic Pollo a la Plancha with rice and beans, that’s the go-to. Comfort food at its finest.

If you’re looking for good eats and cold beer, Big Daddy’s Flanigan’s hits the spot every time. Get the rib rolls, some wings, and curly fries — trust me, you’ll leave happy.

Now, if you’re looking to treat yourself or take someone special out, check out Perry’s or Hillstone in Coral Gables. Both have great vibes and even better food.

Brickell City Centre is another cool place to explore — tons of shops, restaurants, and they even have mini golf upstairs. It’s a great spot to spend a few hours.

I’m also a big sports guy — basketball is my number one, right next to football. I’m a die-hard Heat and Dolphins fan, but you’ve also got the Marlins, Panthers, and of course, Inter Miami (shoutout to Messi!).

What I love most about Miami is how diverse it is. It’s a true melting pot — you feel it in the food, the music, the energy. Whether you’re hanging in Wynwood, walking down Calle Ocho, or chilling on Miami Beach, there’s always something unique going on.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I owe every bit of my success to the incredible support system around me — my amazing wife, my beautiful daughter Madeline, my family (Mom, Dad, and my brothers Santiago and Carlos), my friends, and my colleagues. Each one of them has played a vital role in helping me grow, both personally and professionally, shaping me into the person I am today.

Every one of them deserves a heartfelt shoutout, especially those in the entertainment industry who believed in me — who took a chance on a kid from Hialeah/Miami Lakes. From hyping up crowds at arenas, festivals, Mitzvahs, and weddings, to now mentoring and leading talent at events and opening doors that weren’t available to me when I started — it’s been a full-circle journey.

There are far too many names to list, but to everyone who played a role — thank you. This shoutout is yours!
