Meet Jaclyn Carmen | Artist, Astrologer, & Ahai® Energy Healer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jaclyn Carmen and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jaclyn, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
The thought process behind starting my own business, Jaclyn Carmen Creative, really stemmed from a desire to live a more aligned and fulfilling life. The Jaclyn Carmen Creative is a personal brand that has 3 main components, Art & Fashion, Astrology, and Self-Care. I had spent years in professional roles that seemed like the “right path” on paper, but in reality, they were draining my energy, and keeping me unhappy. I kept pushing forward, thinking that was just how work was supposed to feel—until I hit a point where I realized that life is simply too short not to be doing something that makes you feel alive inside.
I wanted to create a career that felt enjoyable and energizing—something that didn’t just check boxes, but actually brought me joy. Starting my own business gave me the freedom to build something that reflects who I am, and to design my days in a way that feels more balanced and authentic.
But beyond that, I also felt called to help others feel the same sense of inspiration and fulfillment. My goal is to support people in reconnecting with what lights them up, just like I had to do for myself. I believe that when we’re doing what we love, it ripples out and positively impacts everyone around us.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
As an artist, I love exploring different ways of creating—from painting and sculpting to fashion design. I’ve never wanted to limit myself to one medium because creativity flows in so many forms. What sets me apart is that I bring over 20 years of experience in the fashion and business industry, which gives me a unique lens. I have an eye for trends—not just creatively, but also analytically—and I blend that with intuition and energetic awareness to create work that feels both grounded and expansive.
I’m most excited that I now get to combine all of my passions: art, fashion, astrology, energy healing, and self-care. My work is an expression of all those things coming together. Every piece of art I create is unique because it’s based on what wants to move through me in that moment. I often ask myself: What am I excited about right now? What wants to be created? That’s how the process begins.
Right now, I’m especially in love with Geode Artwork—3D pieces that incorporate natural elements like gemstones, crystals, shells, sand, and driftwood, paired with paint and other artistic techniques. These pieces bring a radiant, elevated energy into a space. I always create from a high-vibrational place, intentionally caring for my body, mind, and spirit before I begin. I believe that energy is felt through the work, and my goal is for each piece to carry a feel-good, expansive quality that uplifts the environment it enters.
Getting to where I am professionally wasn’t easy. It took a lot of trial and error, courage, and self-trust. I followed paths that looked “right” on paper—especially in the early days of my career, where I pursued the corporate world because it seemed like the smart and stable option. But I was unhappy. I eventually realized that what is often viewed as the “safe” or “secure” path wasn’t aligned with who I truly am. Walking away from that world and listening to my intuition was one of the hardest—and best—decisions I’ve ever made.
The biggest lesson I’ve learned is that your intuition knows the way. No one has the answers for you; they’re already inside. You just have to make space to hear them. Every turning point in my career came from getting quiet and choosing to trust that inner voice. It’s led me to success that feels deeply fulfilling—not just on paper, but in my heart.
What I want the world to know about my story and brand is this: I truly found success by following my heart. It might sound cliché, but it’s real. The things that lit me up weren’t random—they were guiding lights. My intuition has been my shortcut and my compass through every challenge. Whether I’m creating a piece of art or fashion, or holding space in an energy healing or astrology session, it all comes from the heart. It’s all intentional. And that, to me, is the true definition of success.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
My best friend is visiting Miami, I would take them all around parts of Miami and Miami Beach. We’d spend the day at the Beach or the Faena Pool relaxing and enjoying lunch. Then afterward go to a nice dinner, Omakase on the Beach. Omakase is great because the food is so artistic and fun. During the trip we would go to the different Art Museums in Miami and Wynwood. We’d explore outdoor landmarks such as the Gardens and the Vizcaya Estate. One of the days we’d go shopping in the Design District looking at all of the Designers Spring & Summer Collections. Each night we’d go to dinner at a new place, to try the food and explore different tasting menus- Italian, Mediterranean, and Spanish cuisine. At night we’d go dancing at low key spots on the beach with the elements of: Good music & elevated beach vibes.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’ve been fortunate to have so many mentors and teachers who’ve helped shape my path, and I’m incredibly grateful for each one of them. One person who’s had a particularly big impact on my journey was Christina Rice. Her teachings around intuition, energy healing, mindset work, and self-trust really helped me reconnect with my own inner guidance. I first discovered her through her podcast and books, and eventually had the opportunity to work with her directly through a mentorship. That experience was deeply transformative for me, both personally and professionally.
Beyond that, I’ve also worked with a number of incredible mentors in the fields of Art and Astrology—two areas that have become central to my work and self-expression. I’ve always been intentional about learning from people who are truly aligned with the path I want to explore. Throughout my earlier career in fashion, I had the opportunity to work alongside some amazing industry leaders in New York City, and those experiences taught me so much about creativity, discipline, and how to bring ideas to life.
There’s a saying that really resonates with me: “When the student is ready, the teacher appears.” That’s been true for me at every stage of my journey. Each time I was ready to grow in a new direction, the right mentor, guide, or opportunity showed up—and I’m so grateful for all the wisdom they’ve shared with me along the way.
