Hi Adasol, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I started my business because I saw a gap in financial education and business guidance for entrepreneurs, especially within the Latino community. After more than 30 years in banking, finance, and financial services — including over 16 years in private banking managing corporate and high-net-worth client portfolios — I realized many talented entrepreneurs had great business ideas but lacked the knowledge to navigate taxes, compliance, and financial planning. I wanted to use my experience to help them build strong businesses, make informed decisions, and create long-term success. What should our readers know about your business?
MIAcount Corp was founded with a simple but powerful mission: to help individuals and business owners navigate taxes, compliance, and financial decisions with confidence.

Before becoming an entrepreneur, I spent more than 30 years in the financial and banking industry, working in areas such as private banking, business banking, credit analysis, treasury management, and financial services — including over 16 years managing corporate and high-net-worth client portfolios. Throughout my career, I saw many talented entrepreneurs struggle — not because they lacked passion or vision, but because they lacked access to proper financial guidance.

That realization inspired me to create MIAcount Corp. Today, we provide tax preparation, accounting, ITIN services — as an IRS Certifying Acceptance Agent (CAA) and AFSP certified preparer — business formation, licenses and permits, bookkeeping, payroll, and business consulting, serving clients across more than 20 states. What sets us apart is our personalized approach. We take the time to educate our clients, not just complete transactions. We believe that informed clients make better decisions and build stronger businesses.

The journey was far from easy. Like many entrepreneurs, I faced uncertainty, financial challenges, and the pressure of building a business from the ground up while balancing family responsibilities. There were moments when I questioned whether I was doing enough or moving fast enough. What helped me overcome those challenges was perseverance, continuous learning, and a deep commitment to serving others.

One of the most important lessons I have learned is that success is not built overnight. Consistency, integrity, and resilience matter far more than quick wins. Every challenge taught me something valuable and made me a better business owner and advisor.

What I want people to know about my brand is that MIAcount Corp is more than a tax and accounting firm. We are a trusted resource for entrepreneurs, especially within the Latino community. We are committed to helping our clients build strong foundations, remain compliant, and achieve long-term success. In 2025, we also co-founded TaxStarPro LLC, a tax education academy designed to train and mentor tax professionals to serve the Latino entrepreneurial community with higher technical standards and ethical practice.

My story is proof that with determination, education, and a willingness to keep moving forward, it is possible to transform experience into purpose and create a meaningful impact in the lives of others.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
One of the things I love most about Miami is that it offers something for everyone. If my best friend were visiting for a week, I would want them to experience the city the way I actually live it — not as a tourist, but as a local.

We would start the mornings the way I start mine: with a bike ride or a workout. Key Biscayne is one of my favorite places to exercise — riding along the water, stopping at Crandon Park or Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park to enjoy the ocean views. For me, that is the best way to begin any day in Miami.

For breakfast, I would take them to a local café in Coral Gables or Coconut Grove, two of my favorite neighborhoods because they combine history, culture, and beautiful architecture.

During the week, we would explore Wynwood for its incredible street art, local businesses, and creative energy. We would also spend time in Brickell and Downtown Miami to experience the city’s business and entrepreneurial spirit.

Little Havana would be essential — and not just as a tourist stop. My office is located right on Calle Ocho, in the heart of this community. Walking down the street, enjoying Cuban coffee, listening to live music, and feeling the cultural heartbeat of Miami is something I get to experience every day. That energy is part of who I am and what I do.

For nature and relaxation, I would take them to Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden and spend a day in the Florida Keys, which are only a short drive away and offer some of the most beautiful scenery in South Florida.

As for dining, Miami is one of the most diverse food cities in the country. I would make sure they experience Cuban, Venezuelan, Colombian, Peruvian, and fresh seafood restaurants throughout the week.

What makes Miami truly special is its people. It is a city filled with entrepreneurs, dreamers, artists, athletes, and individuals from all over the world who bring their cultures, ideas, and energy together. That diversity is what makes Miami one of the most exciting places to live and visit — and it is the same diversity that inspires everything I do at MIAcount Corp.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would dedicate my shoutout to my children, who have been my greatest motivation throughout my journey. As a single mother and entrepreneur, every challenge I faced pushed me to become stronger, not only for myself but for them.

I would also like to recognize the mentors, colleagues, and clients who trusted me throughout my career in banking, finance, and entrepreneurship. Their confidence, support, and encouragement helped me take the leap to build my own business.

Finally, I want to give credit to the Latino entrepreneurial community. Every day I meet hardworking individuals who pursue their dreams despite obstacles. Their resilience inspires me and reminds me why I am passionate about helping small business owners succeed
