We had the good fortune of connecting with Kai Blonde and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kai, we’d love to hear what makes you happy.
Music makes me the happiest because it brings people together. There’s something really special about being surrounded by a community of people who are all there for the same reason—to let go, dance, and enjoy the moment. The energy, the connection, and the good vibes that come from spending a night on the dance floor are hard to describe.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’ve loved this journey because I’m constantly learning. Music is always evolving, and there really aren’t any rules when it comes to creating it. I’ve been lucky to learn from DJs around me, and it’s inspiring to see how everyone has their own unique sound and creative process. That has motivated me to keep experimenting and discovering my own sound.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I have to give a lot of credit to my parents. They were always listening to electronic music, so I grew up surrounded by trance and deep house. It was always playing in the background, and I think that naturally shaped my love for the genre.
A few years ago, I started working at a club, and that’s when everything really clicked. Being immersed in that environment opened my eyes to the industry and showed me how music truly brings people together.
