We had the good fortune of connecting with ChelseaLuv and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi ChelseaLuv, why did you pursue a creative career?
My pursuance in the arts is more of a calling than a career. It’s something that’s always felt natural and like home. I grew up as a creative child and ,fortunately, never lost that spirit of self expression. I literally couldn’t see myself doing anything else. (Still don’t)

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My art is not just an activity, or a product, it’s a lifestyle. I embody my art. Everything I do artistically stems from what comes most naturally to my soul and that’s exactly what ‘sets me apart’, is my sovereignty in what I do based on the feeling. It’s not a job to me, it’s like coming home. It has DEFINITELY not always been easy to see it this way, and I got to where I am today through lots of shadow work and simply refusing to let the spark die out that I first felt from creating. The most valuable lesson that I continue to re-learn every day is that if it doesn’t feel right, it ain’t right and the pendulum swings both ways with that. I’m letting the world know through my art, which has been vital to my healing process, that there is absolutely nothing wrong with them, or their feelings, or their journey. We were all born to be as we are and nothing is for nothing. To love and to be loved is to accept and embrace our reality, not chase expectations.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Honestly I have a vivid imagination and adventurous spirit, so if there were no limitations to this I would do everything possible lol, but in the waking life matrix world id definitely go to lunch with them because I love food, and I mean LOVE IT. Especially when it’s delicious and good for you like the menus at “Island Fusion” or “The Rabbit Hole” so those would be the first picks. I am a sucker for nature so my ideal way of spending time with a friend would be to go have some intentional moments by a waterfall or the beach, somewhere peaceful to have meaningful conversation and practice Mindfulness together, as these are my favorite forms of intimacy. Then we’d visit some art gallery’s and try to imagine what the artist was going through when they made each piece, (this can get really interesting). I love to exercise my creative mind so I would set up time for us to also make our own art, whether it be through painting, art, music etcetera, which is usually super fun because all of my friends just happen to be artists.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to give my greatest gratitude to my manager, bigshowmanagement for being so supportive and telling me everything I don’t wanna hear cause I need it, and not to mention taking down all the bad guys for me. I wouldn’t be here without you, sending you so much love!!!

I also have to acknowledge and show love to all the great mentors and friends that have shaped my mindset as an artist and person, helping me to learn so much. Philgoodproductions, Asher Makeba, David Brewer, Ms.Beharrie, My Wonderful Mother, My sisters Brady Breanna and Tyler, Messiahxxiv, AliyahSkye, Tedtsunami, Sweetface, Sunflower, ShaThaGoddess and all of the amazing female artists that have come before me for being an inspiration.
