We had the good fortune of connecting with DeChelle Tisdale and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi DeChelle, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My thought process in becoming a realtor was to educate, motivate and provide financial freedom to families and help make their lives better. Many times, people are afraid to take a risk, whether it is to purchase a home or invest in property due to lack of knowledge. The reason there is a lack of knowledge is because there is a glitch in the way information is being conveyed. Fortunately, I became a realtor and Professional Association because I wanted to impact the cultural and help create generational wealth and teach folks how to build their real estate portfolio.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
International Realtor specializing in The Dominican Republic and South Florida markets, with certification in Georgia coming soon. My biggest accomplishment as a Realtor was an international deal I closed in Dominican Republic. The new construction villa was a 3 bedroom/3 bath ocean front Villa in Santa Domingo, Dominican Republic. This particular transaction was a great opportunity for me, because I learned hands on about international closings. In addition, I was able to build international relationships/partnerships with banks, developers and realtors in The Dominican Republic. Fortunately, I learned a lot from the international sale, including the different ways real estate is closed in The Dominican Republic vs The United States. For example, Did you know that you do not have to provide a credit report or pay property taxes for at least 10 years when buying in the Dominican Republic? Exactly, I didn’t either! No one told us that, no one taught us that, unfortunately there are not many African American women in real estate who are able to close business internationally. For that I am grateful I was able to break ground internationally and teach people the advantages of buying international real estate. The purpose of me being a realtor is to help people create generational weath, while making dreams come true!! Behind every realtor is a team and I have to thank my team who gets me and my clients to the closing table every time Jessica Martinez at JessicaF@tclg.mortgage (Financing) and the best in the business for clients having issues getting prequalified/credit repair Lynden Professional Services LLC www.lyndenpsllc.com
