We had the good fortune of connecting with Jasmine Nguyen and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jasmine, what do you attribute your success to?
I would say having a written out plan of the ideas and requirements I had for my startup was a big factor behind the start of my successful business. Anyone can agree that starting a business is overwhelming, especially if you are inexperienced. So I would highly reccommend creating an outline of a business startup plan and a list of important requirements, legal documents, procedures, and steps into building up your very own business.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My business J Studio Beauty LLC provides beauty services such as lash extensions, lash lifts, brow waxing and tinting. I believe what sets my business apart from others is my customer service and attentive detail to my craftsmanship. I am most proud of my business growth journey because it happened in such a small time span and during a worldwide pandemic. I believe the key to my successful growing business is definitely perseverance and consistency in my work efforts. It definitely was not always smooth and easy, but I did not let obstacles slow me down from accomplishing my personal and business goals. I learned a lot from owning and building a business from researching on my own and asking advice from different sources to gain perspective. Another valuable lesson I have learned was to be patient and not compare my progress to others. I believe that my story and brand is an encouraging example to those who aren’t as experienced within the business field but want to take the leap to build an empire of their own.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would definitely start our day getting the best coffee in Miami, at Brewing Buddha Cafe & Arthouse, it is a cute coffee shop with a variety of unique coffee flavors! Maybe stop by the beach or go to a beautiful scenic location such as Vizcaya Museum Garden to take some instagram worthy pictures. For lunch there are so many amazing restaurants to choose from in Miami, I love walking around Coconut Grove or Brickell to check out different restaurant options. Usually I like to end the night with a fun happy hour option, of course in Miami, the nightlife doesn’t end early so there are so many late night happy hour deals.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I really wouldn’t be where I am today without my amazing support group. Shouting out to my wonderful mother and relatives who always encouraged me to believe in my business and tried to help me in anyway they can. Also, my amazing friends and clients who always booked with me and shared my business to their peers to expand and bring light to my business. I am truly grateful for all of them and appreciate every bit of love and support they have provided to my business and I.
