Teach a Man To Fish, and You Feed Him for a Lifetime” I take this proverb as being very applicable to how we operate as a Real Estate Broker and mentor to Real Estate Agents with all levels of experience. As it applies to Real Estate, if you give a Realtor a customer looking to Buy or Sell, they may close that deal but are forever slaves to their company to provide them with these “fish” to provide from. As a company, we have the mentality of teaching and showing an agent how to brand themselves, service their Buyers and Sellers, and catch those “fish” to operate and run their business on an ongoing basis. The more that you can do to arm each individual Realtor with the tools and weapons to service their customers/clients at a higher level, everyone wins. Agents who are slaves to taking their “fish” from their Broker tend to be less professional, less knowledgeable, and are at a loss as to how to bring a Customer through the full experience.
