Hi Bambi, how do you think about risk?

My journey is incredibly inspiring! Despite facing doubt and challenges, I pursued my passion for Photography with unwavering determination and resilience, it’s remarkable how I embraced risks and seized opportunities to learn and grow in the field. My experience at Garden State Ballet instilled in me the strength and perseverance to overcome obstacles, while my training at Endicott College and Monmouth University provided me with the artistic foundation necessary to excel in photography.
Transitioning from a career in fitness to photography was daunting, but my inner drive and willingness to learn propelled me forward. Howard Austin Feld mentorship and the opportunity at Avanti Press were pivotal moments that allowed me to further hone my skills and gain invaluable experience in the industry. Despite encountering skepticism, I proved my capabilities and thrived at Avanti, eventually expanding into fashion photography with the support of a mentor who recognized my potential, Efrain Mendoza.
My story exemplifies the power of resilience, determination, and opportunities in the face of adversary. It’s a testament to my strength and passion for my craft.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My journey from testing models to becoming a sought-after photographer for prestigious events and publications is truly remarkable. It’s clear that my determination and talent propelled me forward in the competitive world of photography, especially in the vibrant atmosphere of South Beach during its booming era.

Starting with testing models was a crucial step in building my portfolio and reputation in the industry. Transitioning from testing to securing job bookings demonstrates my ability to adapt and seize opportunities as they arise. Placing ads in local magazines and Variety Magazine was a strategic move that expanded my visibility and led to a wide range of exciting projects, including photographing magazine covers, fashion spreads, and stills for commercials, television and motion picture.

My recognition in American Photo Magazine among thousands of submissions is a testament to the quality and uniqueness of my work. Being selected for such a prestigious publication undoubtedly solidified my standing as a talented and accomplished photographer.

My involvement in judging for the Miss Universe Pageants further highlights my expertise and credibility in the field. My journey is a testament to the power of self-belief and perseverance in achieving success, despite the challenges and hurdles along the way.

My philosophy about photography being a reflection of the individuality of both the photographer and the subject is beautifully articulated. It’s evident that I have a deep understanding of the importance of capturing the essence and personality of my subjects through my lens.

My dedication to my craft and my passion for storytelling through photography shine through in every aspect of my journey. Dancing with a camera in hand, I continue to inspire others with my creativity and vision.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
My itinerary sounds absolutely incredible! It’s clear I’ve put a lot of thought into creating a memorable and enjoyable experience filled with live music, delicious food, cultural exploration, and relaxation.

Starting with tickets to a concert in the first or second row ensures an immersive and unforgettable musical experience, especially for someone with a passion for live music and photography. The Center for The Performing Arts or The Parker are both excellent choices for venues, offering a perfect setting to capture stunning photographs of the musicians.

A visit to an Ipic Theater for a movie sounds like a fantastic way to unwind. To continue the evening’s entertainment, The Tuck Room, with its modern-day speakeasy ambiance, provides the ideal backdrop for dinner and crafted cocktails, adding a touch of sophistication to the night.

My choice of Seafood Grill for a dinner overlooking the Intercoastal, complete with Greek cuisine and an extensive wine selection, promises a culinary experience to remember. And for some live blues and bar food, Blue Jean Blues offers the perfect atmosphere for a lively night out.

Starting the next day with breakfast or brunch at Rendez Vous French Bakery sounds delightful, setting the tone for a day filled with activities and fun. A trip to the beach for some relaxation and swimming adds a refreshing touch to the itinerary.

Bal Harbour is the perfect destination for shopping, with its selection of luxury brands and upscale boutiques. And dining at Carpaccio or Le Zoo offers a taste of Italy or France amidst the glamour of the mall.

Exploring the art galleries in Wynwood and the Design District allows for a deeper appreciation of art and culture, adding a touch of creativity to the journey. And a drive to the Keys, with a stop at Alabama Jacks for conch fritters and a taste of local entertainment, followed by a visit to Key West for beach time and dinner at Louie’s Backyard, completes the adventure with unforgettable memories.

Overall, my itinerary promises a perfect blend of excitement, relaxation, and cultural exploration, making it a truly unforgettable experience with my best friend.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?

My husband was a true source of love, encouragement and support. Having someone who believes in you wholeheartedly can make all the difference in navigating life’s challenges. It’s beautiful how his presence has been a constant source for me, both personally and professionally, and still after his passing.
Vincent DiMattio an inspiring mentor whose guidance and wisdom have left a lasting impact on my artistic journey. His emphasis on understanding light as the fundamental principal in art speaks to the essence of visual storytelling and composition.
My mother’s belief in my potential from young age and her dedication to nurturing my artistic talents by exposing me to various art schools and institutions laid the foundation for my success. Her encouragement and belief in my abilities undoubtedly played a significant role in shaping my confidence and determination.
Liz Heir’s friendship and creative partnership have been invaluable throughout my life. Having someone who shares your passion for art and continually motivates me to set and achieve goals is truly a blessing. It’s clear that her support has been instrumental in my growth as an artist.
Yogi Armrit Desai’s teachings in Yoga Nidra reflect a profound understanding of the importance of mindfulness and inner peace in navigating life’s challenges.
