We had the good fortune of connecting with Beena and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Beena, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
What I love most about our facial studio is how we make wellness affordable for everyone and we focus on education. A lot of our clients have never received a facial before because it was considered a “luxury” or they just never learned the importance. Even myself growing up, I remember my mom only getting 1 facial a year, if that, before a big family wedding. What Clean Your Dirty Face is all about is that as long as you make monthly facials a part of your skincare routine, you will reap the benefits of younger, healthier skin as you age. The glow I see in our clients after a facial only increases their confidence in their own skin!

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
The Clean Your Dirty Face mission focuses on efficiency and effectiveness, with each facial taking under 30 minutes. For the millions of busy professionals and clients out there, this concept was a no brainer to me! What sets us apart is that it’s the place to visit an esthetician regularly and receive personalized, professional skincare in a fun and vibrant setting, without breaking the bank!

As a pharmacist with a passion in skincare, I had no idea how to go about starting my own business. I loved the fact that as part of this franchise, I was able to be my own boss and take advantage of an untapped niche in an otherwise massive skincare industry. With over 30 locations across the United States, the challenges that came along are largely due to learning how to navigate the franchisor/franchisee relationship.

Nonetheless, I believe 100% in this brand because I have seen the results directly. Just after 3 months of my own monthly facials and using our clean,vegan products, I have received the most compliments on my skin in my life, and I am now in my my 40s!! I used to be that girl that could never leave the house without putting on a full face to cover any blemishes. In this world that focuses on authenticity and yet overlooks natural beauty, Clean Your Dirty Face has given me confidence to go make up free as well as a refreshing feeling of empowerment.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend was visiting the area for a week, I would have to take them to some of my favorite breakfast spots which include JB&C Juice bar for the best smoothies in town as well as Java & Jam for delicious food and best people watching.
It is also one of the many dog friendly restaurants where I can bring my dog, Rocket! Our days would include lounging at the beautiful Fort Lauderdale beaches, strolling the streets of Las Olas, and checking out the artsy district of Flagler Village. We would definitely take a day trip to Miami where we would visit the Vizcaya Museum & Garden, walk around the Wynwood Walls area to admire creative murals, as well as enjoy food and drinks at Komodo or Sugar in Brickell. We would end our week with getting facials at Clean Your Dirty Face for the ultimate relaxation and rejuvenation, and then head across the parking lot to Fort Lauderdale’s 1st Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurant, Heritage where you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would love to shoutout my husband, Brijesh, who has helped me realize my own potential. I never dreamed I could run my own business as a child. I went to pharmacy school because my parents wanted me to and have worked at a retail pharmacy for over 15 years. Once the pandemic hit, I did a deep dive into my own happiness and realized there was something missing. They say that your biggest obstacle in life is yourself, and Brijesh helped me overcome my own fears and doubts. Honestly, he helped me realize how limitless the world can be!
