We had the good fortune of connecting with Brittany Millner and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Brittany, what inspires you?
Inspiration is what keeps me going everyday. The biggest thing that inspires is seeing my fellow creatives succeed. Whether they captured the perfect shot, landed a new client or received the social media engagement they’ve been dying to get, it inspires me to keep working hard and find new ways to be even better.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My freelance company specializes in graphic design, digital marketing, website design, marketing, social media, lifestyle photography, event photography and branding.
Since I was in high school, I had a passion for getting into the creative world. It all started with photography 16 years ago and after working with other creatives in my younger years, I couldn’t get enough! I decided to take it further and study graphic design and photography in college. My college, Indiana University of Pennsylvania, is known as a great state school to attend for creatives. I was able to get hands on with graphics and photography and I knew this is exactly what I wanted to do. Since graduation, I have become experienced in digital marketing, social media, graphic design, photography and video presentations. From brides and grooms to small businesses, I have helped a wide range of clients in a wide range of industries with my creative talents.
It was not an easy road to get to where I am today, but I contribute my successes to my fellow creatives and mentors along the way. My main goal is to make my clients the happiest I can possibly make them. There is no better feeling than when a client loves my creative work!
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’m a huge fan of Fort Lauderdale, the Venice of America. When my friends come to visit, I love to take them out on the boat and show them the city from the water. I like to think of it as a smaller Miami; high rises popping up throughout the area, trendy restaurants with award winning chefs, unique hotels with rooftop bars and gorgeous yachts with beautiful people. The city gives me such a rush without being too overwhelming like other big cities.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My mom is my biggest inspiration when it comes to being a business owner. My siblings and I were lucky enough to have her at home when we were younger, but now she is a boss babe and owns a political accounting company. She deals with tight deadlines, strict guidelines and a wide variety of politicians and everyday she does it with poise. Seeing her success everyday inspires me to grow and learn and be the best I can possibly be as a business owner.
