We had the good fortune of connecting with Corbin Stacy and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Corbin, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I absolutely love this question!! I decided to pursue an artistic/creative career because I am a performer at heart! From a very young age, I grew up on stage dancing with my family. When I left a fourteen year career in Corporate America within Aviation Management, it was clear to me that I needed to do something to feed my soul, stay healthy and help others. I was already in the Non-Profit arena locally, so I decided to open up my own brick and mortar yoga studio in 2017. We turn five this October!!!
What should our readers know about your business?
Our premiere five start yoga studio is turning five this October 7th, and we have so much to be excited about!! The Customer Service provided to each and every guest we receive at yoga hOMe® is truly what sets us apart from “the other guys” … Our classes are humble. We do not pack 50-75 people into every class. We do not care about that. We actually know your name. We know where you have been and where you are coming from. We also know where you ultimately want to go. You would not necessarily find this in franchises or other larger fitness environments. We treat our studio like a VIP boutique and clients feel it from the start. They also feel it if they have a completely negative vibe towards life, because we leave NO ROOM for that in our sacred space. Being the sole Owner/Operator of yoga hOMe®, LLC has been the hardest thing I have ever done. I faced an L4/L5 Spinal Fusion in 2019 after opening up the space, only to have the pandemic hit directly after that. I am amazed we are even open, LOL …
I’m kidding … LOL!!! Not kidding!!! Seriously though … we have always stayed true to our ourselves, our commitment to the community and our vision, and brand. It has successfully worked. We have learned to be present 120% of the time. We are real human beings having a real human experience … What you see is what you get!
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If I were to show my BFF around town, I would definitely have to take them out on the water somewhere and explore all that the healing salt water has to offer! From sights to see to food and relaxation, visiting Miami to Palm Beach and everything in between … The phrase “Don’t threaten me with a good time!”
would never fit so well! We would have to attend must see shows in the Broward Performing Arts Center and tackle casual dining in Wilton Manors … Maybe even dancing in Miami Beach?! Our dance card will definitely be full of enriched experiences and must haves!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
The Board of Directors at NamaStacy Yoga Corporation® (www.NamaStacyYoga.org) definitely deserve a huge shout-out to the success of my story!! Not only are they members of an active international 501(c)(3), but they are also some of my closest friends and advisors in this lifetime!!! Cheers to Donna Nurmi, Senior Vice President and Liaison to yoga hOMe®, my longest friend on the Board. Frank Velaz, Vice President and Owner/Operator of Facials Fort Lauderdale. Dr. Nancy Powers, Vice President and holistic Chiropractor. These individuals are always there for the cOMmUNITY and me. I have learned so much from each of them. We would definitely not be where we are today without their help. Big hugs to them all!!!
