Hi DaVonna, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Certainly, my origin story was birthed from my personal struggles with self love and challenges finding my voice and identity.

Growing up, I came from an environment that did its best to overshadow my potential and break my self-confidence.

I found myself as the new girl in town, struggling to fit in due to the lack of social connections and the inability to keep up with the latest fashion trends. At home, my parents were often wrapped up in their own dramas, leaving me emotionally unsupported and unprotected in my daily battles.

In search of solace, I turned inward. My imagination became my refuge, where I envisioned a wealthy, luxurious lifestyle I could not yet afford – picturing myself as a woman embodying dignity, integrity, grace, and style. This is where I learned to pray – ask for the things that do not exist, and faith – to believe these things were coming even though there was no current evidence of their arrival.

Transitioning into adulthood, I realized I wasn’t alone in facing such struggles. Many women grappled with strained relationships within their families and felt like outsiders in their communities. Discovering my tribe fueled my sense of purpose. I became an advocate for those immensely talented women lacking a support system, mentors, or a safe space to nurture their dreams. My commitment was birthed: no woman should feel left out or unworthy. Instead, I pledged to celebrate their every achievement, to be a champion to their aspirations, and to bridge the gaps using whatever knowledge or resources I could offer.

I transformed our pain into power, into purpose, and into progress – thus birthing BellaDonna PrimaDonna Accessory House.

BDPD Accessory House was created to make women feel beautiful. When adorned with a luxurious, romantic accessory her confidence would rise and she would begin to see herself through the eyes of love and power. This kind of revelation sparked a revolution of brilliant, world-changing leaders and history makers of our generation. We are so proud to be known for this transformative energy.

Sure! My name is DaVonna May, an internationally recognized, award-winning serial entrepreneur, creative powerhouse, and marketing professional with an insatiable love for small business success. My unique blend of legal expertise, strategic thinking, and creativity, stemming from my law school background, distinguishes my analytical and intellectual approach.

My tenure in the fashion world as a celebrity designer and stylist enhances my ability to captivate audiences with immersive storytelling and create impactful brand experiences.

For over 13 years, I’ve elevated several ventures, including fashion, tech, health, and wellness startups, to international recognition. Building lasting customer relationships, fostering partnerships, and creating impactful social media content are my strengths.

How about sharing your favorite local spots with a friend?
Absolutely! Miami is a feast of cultural richness, exquisite culinary experiences, and inspiring artsy and natural scenic beauty.

Kicking off with a spa session by the beach sets the tone for the day. Rejuvenated, we’d hit the beach to bask in Florida’s sun. We’d head to Coral Gables for a hearty breakfast, exploring local bookstores and boutiques for unique finds and heartfelt conversations.

Hydration breaks with boba tea and natural juices would satisfy our thirst. Pastries from Cuban bakeries would indulge our sweet tooth. For lunch, fish tacos and burritos in Wynwood are an absolute must. Post-lunch, we’d get the best photo opps in the many vibrant murals.

Evenings are reserved for rooftop dining at my favorite Peruvian spot. We’d toast our accomplishments against the city’s twinkling skyline vowing to strive for even greater heights. The night would end in Little Havana, the little town that doesn’t sleep – dancing to live bands and soaking in Cuban culture.

For your shoutout, is there someone you’d like to recognize?
My shoutout is dedicated to every young dreamer who has felt outcasted, forgotten and invalidated by society. To every growing woman who possesses immense passion but lacks the support system to nurture and elevate her gifts. And to every seasoned woman who feels that their time has passed, but their talents are still waiting to be unleashed. I am here with you, praying for you and waiting for you to enter our space so we can breathe new life and hope into your purpose.

Additionally, I owe a debt of gratitude to my social media besties – some of whom I have never met in person, but have cheered me through many finish lines. I will forever cherish their impact on my journey.

Lastly, I want to recognize the remarkable customers and clients who have placed their trust in our brand and services. It is their support that fuels my determination and success. They have shown me who I am and what I am capable of achieving.
