We had the good fortune of connecting with Dr. Krystal Clark and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dr. Krystal, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Those close to me know it has always been a goal to open my own practice. The thought process behind it was deeply rooted in my passion for healthcare and my unwavering desire to drive meaningful change in this field. With 14 years of healthcare I have under my belt, I was driven by a profound understanding of the disparities and inefficiencies that plague our current healthcare system.
I envisioned a practice that wouldn’t just operate within the existing system but would challenge and transform it. The goal was to create solutions that made quality care accessible to all along with harnessing innovative technologies, data-driven approaches, and compassionate care models to bridge the gaps that so many patients fall through.
I knew that real change could only come from being truly passionate and invested in the wellbeing of others. This is what inspired me to take the leap and start my own venture.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I am in the business of health restoration and in order to do so not only do I have to have the expertise but I must strive to personify and embody the very essence of love and passion for what I do what.

As my mission statement says:
“Restoring Care & Wellness is a private health practice that strives to transform, empower, & nurture the care provided for every patient that walks through its doors. We are here to help service all your care needs while helping you to reclaim your health & rediscover your strength”

I am where I am today because I stay true to that mission, I stay true to ny faith, to who I am as a provider, and to who I am as a person. Having overcome my own health challenges as a cancer survivor, I am further motivated to provide the best care for my patients in a space where they can always feel safe and advocated for.

I am excited for growth and the success that will continue to follow as I scale my practice to new heights.

My biggest challenge, to be honest, has been the marketing side of owning a business. While patient care and the concept of entrepreneurship go hand in hand, the two are very different and each require a specific skill set. When going through school and training they don’t teach you the business aspects of things which can make owning a business challenging. This is where my mentors came in, who helped me understand and navigate the ropes of entrepreneurship. I have learned that one must surround themselves with individuals who will help to teach and elevate them. Needless to say I am constantly learning the business side of things everyday. While many would call owning a business as a risk, I call it a journey of faith. By working hard, embracing the sacrifices, learning from the challenges, and staying true to the values that make me, me, I can help secure my future as I strive for continued success.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Hmm. A week in Miami isn’t enough to explore all that you could do. The diversity in this city’s options and people truly make the location one of a kind. If I had a friend coming, here is a list the places I would take them to for a great time:

Dukunoo

Sexy Fish

Cote Miami

Pinstripes

Sugar Tea Room

Wynwood

Design District

Aventura mall

Yacht charter day cruise

Museum of Illusions

Paradox Experience

Sunny Isles beach

Night ATV tour

Candleland

Lapis Spa

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
First I must give all praises and thanks to God my savior. I stand firm on my faith and know that this journey of passion is His purpose for me.

I want to dedicate this shout out to my husband, my daughters, my parents, my 2 brothers, my sister, my friends (they know who they are, lol), and my mentors.

They all played pivotal roles and my appreciation is great for all they have done for me on my journey to success and it is because of them I am the woman I am today.
