We had the good fortune of connecting with Scott Edelsberg and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Scott, how do you think about risk?
I’m a risk taker. I believe its essential to succeed in the event industry. I always want to get the latest innovations to serve potential clients, and help differentiate my business.

For this reason, I’ll remain a risk taker. Now that I have many years of experience I think twice before I make any big purchases. But, overall, I think risk taking is the only path to success.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
What sets me apart from others is my drive and determination. I’m always looking to update to the latest and greatest game or photobooth. I like taking risks, staying on top of the industry by following all the trends.

It’s never easy. I remember having to visit and cold call DJ company’s and venues in the early years of the business. I stayed focus and continued to work until it became steady work.
I’ve learned many lessons over the past 20 years. But, the big lesson is I would rather be early then late. Quality over quantity.
I would like the world to know we provide the fun and enhance any social gathering by being a very diverse product company.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
What comes to mind immediately is New York Prime Steakhouse. We would drive down A1A to see the beautiful homes, Hard Rock casino, Pinball Museum in Delray, Cafe Europe in Palm Beach, Lion Country Safari West Palm Beach, Versailles Miami, authentic Cuban food. Wynwood Walls in Miami to see all the graffiti art. And, of course hang out at The Boca Resort, The Breakers, and the cool beaches.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
The Main Event was instrumental to my success. They helped me get started in the photo favor/photo booth industry back in 2002. They are a New York based company and well-known there.
