We had the good fortune of connecting with Imee Gusich and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Imee, how has your work-life balance changed over time?
I, like many Mompreneurs, always tried to juggle it all. Multitask. Do alllllll of the things.

What I realized is that multitasking is a myth.

You cannot possibly do all of the things, all of the time- not well anyways (ask me, I have tried).

What I have realized over time, and given myself grace on, is that there will be seasons where I may have to spend more focus on growing my business, which may give myself less time in other areas.

Being intentional about the time that I have has been a major game-changer for me. If I am in a season where my work requires more of my focus, then I make sure that I schedule focused time with my child when I am able. It is often not about the amount of time that you spend with your littles, it is the QUALITY of time that you spend with them.
If I am going to spend time with my son, I do my best to ONLY spend time with my son. No answering emails or texts, or checking messages- just focused time with him.

I recently did a challenge where you have to hit all of your “power list” tasks. I wanted to make mine balanced, so amongst my business goals, I also added meditation, journaling, and at least 15 minutes connecting with my husband and child. Each day I HAD to check off all of the tasks. Putting MYSELF on my checklist to work on my mindset, and putting dedicated time with my family really helped me stay balanced.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I am a Digital Marketing Strategist who helps coaches, consultants, and service providers grow their businesses online. My team and I help businesses generate leads online and build an infrastructure where they can nurture relationships with their new prospects and ascend them into their products and services, We serve our clients with website development, sales funnel strategy, social media marketing, paid ads, and more.

I am also launching a coaching program where coaches and service providers can get training, tools and resources to market their businesses online. This provides a great done WITH you type of service for those entrepreneurs who need the framework on how to gain more clients.

What sets us apart is that we look at your marketing as a whole. Every business has pieces of the puzzle, and any marketing agency can fill in with pieces here and there- BUT that doesn’t mean it will create a full picture.
We work to see the entire picture of our clients’ marketing and create a cohesive system to make it all work together synergistically.

Getting to this point was certainly not easy! I have made every dumb mistake in the book, and I still learn every single day. Learning from those experiences and consistently making adjustments has helped me

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
The beach! There is nothing like spending time with your feet in the sand and the ocean breeze blowing through your hair.

I would definitely take them to Papa’s Raw Bar in Lighthouse Point for some amazing sushi and seafood, and we would have to get some time out on a boat to tour the waterways.

We would have to take a couple of days to escape to the Keys to get in some incredible sunsets, snorkeling, kayaking, and good vibes.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would truly not have the drive, vision, or persistence that I have if it had not been for my dad. He always taught me to “Be great” and to “Find something you love so much that you would do it for free, and you’ll be a millionaire”.

He had an insatiable work ethic, and a love for self-development. I think he owned every tape program out there. He is no longer with us, but his influence still plays a major role in my growth and success.
