Meet Jasmine Waltz | Founder and creative director of Waltz Diamonds

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jasmine Waltz and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jasmine, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Once the idea really clicked in my mind, everything in my life started moving in that direction. I became extremely disciplined and focused in a way I had never experienced before. I had such a clear vision for what I wanted Waltz Diamonds to become that nothing could distract me from it.

No matter what obstacle came up, I just kept moving forward. I developed complete tunnel vision and committed myself fully to building something meaningful, modern, and aligned with my values. Starting this business wasn’t a casual idea for me — it became a mission.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Creativity has always been a huge part of who I am. Before launching Waltz Diamonds, I spent over two decades in the entertainment industry, so storytelling, aesthetics, and visual expression have always come naturally to me. Jewelry became another creative outlet, but one that felt more personal and lasting.

What sets Waltz Diamonds apart is the combination of conscious luxury, sustainability, and transparency. I wanted to build a modern fine jewelry brand that feels elevated and aspirational while also challenging outdated ideas within the jewelry industry.

Building the brand definitely hasn’t been easy. Starting a business from scratch requires a huge amount of discipline, resilience, and self-belief. But once I committed to the vision, I became completely focused on making it happen.

More than anything, I want people to know that luxury can evolve. You can create beautiful, exceptional jewelry while also being more intentional, transparent, and environmentally conscious.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Miami has always felt like home to me. I grew up here before moving to Los Angeles for many years, so coming back and building my business here has been really special.

Honestly, over the last few years while building Waltz Diamonds, I’ve become much more focused on work and creating, so I don’t go out quite as much as I used to. These days I’m definitely more drawn to intimate, curated experiences rather than huge crowds or overly touristy spots.

I love discovering beautiful restaurants and spaces with great atmosphere — places like the Delano, Harbour Club, Mila, and The Moore. I really appreciate environments that feel elevated, creative, and thoughtfully designed.

More than anything though, my favorite part of Miami is the connection to nature. Being near the ocean, walking by the water, and finding quiet moments outdoors is honestly where I feel the most grounded and inspired.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Honestly, I think the biggest shoutout goes to every person who believed in me before there was really anything tangible to believe in yet. Starting a business from scratch takes an incredible amount of faith, persistence, and resilience, and there were definitely moments where things felt uncertain.

I’m especially grateful for the people around me who encouraged me to trust my vision and continue building, even when the path wasn’t completely clear yet. My clients also deserve a huge amount of credit — every single person who trusted me with a custom piece, supported the brand early on, shared my work, or believed in what Waltz Diamonds stands for helped bring this business to life.

I also have so much respect for the artisans, suppliers, and people behind the scenes who help turn my ideas into real pieces people will wear and treasure forever. Building a brand may start with one person’s vision, but it absolutely takes a community of people to help make it real.
