Meet Jermaine Hooks | Real Estate Advisor

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jermaine Hooks and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jermaine, we’d love to hear what makes you happy.
What makes me happy is seeing my clients light up after closing on a deal. That moment when all the work, strategy, and back-and-forth finally comes together, and I know I’ve helped them achieve something meaningful, that’s real fulfillment for me.
Beyond business, I’m happiest when I’m traveling the world and experiencing new cultures, foods, and places. There’s something powerful about stepping into a completely different environment and soaking up what makes it unique. Those experiences give me perspective, recharge me, and inspire me to keep growing personally and professionally.
At the end of the day, both of those things, my clients’ success and exploring the world tie back to connection and growth. That’s what fuels me.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My business is rooted in helping investors, hotel owners, and global buyers navigate some of the most complex yet rewarding real estate deals. What sets me apart is that I don’t just sell real estate, I bring a hospitality-driven mindset, a global perspective, and a focus on outcomes that go far beyond the transaction. I make sure they not only preserve wealth but also position themselves for long-term growth.
What I’m most proud of is seeing clients’ relief and joy when we close on a deal. Those wins remind me why I do this. I’m also excited about the global reach of my work, connecting U.S. investors to opportunities in places like Mexico and Europe, while also bringing international buyers into Florida and other parts of the U.S. It’s more than business; it’s about creating connections that change lives.
It definitely hasn’t been easy. At first, I had to figure everything out from scratch, building my brand, finding my niche, and proving myself in an industry full of noise and competition. The challenges taught me resilience and the importance of relationships. The biggest lesson I’ve learned is that persistence and authenticity always win. When you lead with value and put people first, doors open even the ones you didn’t know were there.
If there’s one thing I want the world to know about me and my brand, it’s that I’m a visionary advisor who blends hospitality, luxury, and global reach. I help clients achieve what often feels out of reach, whether that’s deferring taxes on a multimillion-dollar sale, expanding their portfolio internationally, or securing a dream property. My story is about never settling, staying curious, and always finding a way to turn challenges into opportunities.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend came to visit Miami for a week, I’d make sure they got the full experience Miami style. We’d start with the energy of South Beach: weekend lounging at the Eden Roc pool & beach, Brunch over at Nikki Beach for that signature mix of sun, music, and vibes. Nights would be about experiencing the city’s legendary food and nightlife, dinner at Papi Steak one night, Komodo another, and maybe Catch for a seafood fix. After that, it’s only right to keep it going at LIV Nightclub, one of Miami’s most iconic spots.
We’d balance the nightlife with some culture and flavor too, Wynwood for the art scene, and Dukunoo Jamaican Kitchen for a little Caribbean soul. For sports, depending on the season, we’d catch a Miami Heat game, see the Florida Panthers on the ice, or even watch Messi and Inter Miami light it up. That’s Miami’s heart, you get world-class entertainment in every direction.
For a twist, I could throw in a weekend cruise to the Bahamas for that quick island getaway, or we could take the Brightline up to Orlando for a couple of days to hit the theme parks and switch the pace. Miami has this unique advantage where you can live the luxury beach life, dive into culture, enjoy world-class sports, and be in another country or city in a matter of hours. To me, that’s what makes this place so exciting, every day offers something unforgettable.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My mentor/coach Neal Oates Jr. definitely needs some recognition for re-shifting my focus and the guidance he has been providing and pouring into me at this point of my journey.
