We had the good fortune of connecting with Julian Gorris and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Julian, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Being tired of the daily routine. Starting the ‘All things sports podcast’ give me and my co-host the belief that waking up and going to a 9-5 is not what this life is all about. I started this Podcast with hopes of taking me across the world, meeting new people, and inspire people from my city to do the same thing.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
The ATS podcast is forever growing and creating new ways to reach audiences around the world. Podcasting has been a new glorified art form, we understand that it’s a market that hasn’t been figured out yet, there is no textbook way of doing things. We are very attentive to how we present episodes; from intro music to what we name each episode, we don’t take ourselves seriously like your typical sports shows, we enjoy making mistakes and capitalize on them. We are not “first take” or “undisputed”, we are the All things sports podcast.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Being from Broward county, it’s safe to say that we don’t have that many places we find “fun”. We spend a lot of time in the Wynwood or the Bayfront Miami area, just being in Miami makes me feel alive. With Covid among us, it’s been a while since we enjoyed the Miami nightlife. I also deeply felt like driving to Miami is worth it if im thinking of places to go out to eat. The art galleries in Wynwood is another major part of why I spent most of my free time in Miami, nothing compares to the vibes of just walking around freely and getting lost in creativity.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
