We had the good fortune of connecting with Lara Gould and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lara, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I’ve always been surrounded by entrepreneurs – friends and family – pouring their hearts into businesses they believed in. Their ideas were strong, but when it came to branding and marketing, many felt stuck. They were trying to do it all themselves or relying on expensive help that didn’t really ‘get’ them. They wasted valuable time and money in the process – both things that a founder doesn’t have much of to begin with.

Meanwhile, I spent the majority of my career leading brand and marketing campaigns for global companies with every resource at their fingertips. I saw how powerful clear strategy and storytelling could be, and I couldn’t stop thinking about how transformative that same support could be for small businesses. At the end of the day, founders don’t know what they don’t know.

That’s why I started High Frequencies Collective: to bridge that gap and offer branding, content, and marketing support that feels clearer, calmer, and more collaborative. My goal is to help founders clarify what they stand for, share their story with confidence, and grow without burning out.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I spent the majority of my career in marketing and experiential events, working with large global brands like Bumble and Anheuser-Busch. Those years taught me how powerful strategy and storytelling can be when you have the right resources behind you and the right community around you. I’m proud of the campaigns I led, but even more grateful for the foundation they gave me – learning to manage large projects + complex programming, collaborate across teams, and create experiences + messaging that truly resonated with the right people.

It wasn’t always easy. Corporate life was fast-paced, demanding, and sometimes (ok, often) overwhelming. But navigating those challenges taught me resilience and helped me figure out what kind of work lights me up: helping brands tell their stories in ways that feel authentic and human.

Today, through High Frequencies Collective, I bring that same level of strategy and thoughtfulness to founders and small businesses. What sets me apart is my ability to bridge both worlds: the polish and structure of big-brand marketing with the heart and scrappiness of entrepreneurship. I’m excited about building a business that helps people show up with clarity, confidence, and intention.

If there’s one thing I’d want the world to know about me and my work, it’s this: when your brand feels clear, everything else falls into place. My role is to help entrepreneurs get to that place, so they can grow in a way that feels aligned and sustainable.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend was visiting Fort Lauderdale for a week, here’s how I’d show them around:

We’d start with a long walk along the Riverwalk and hop on the water taxi to see the city from the canals – it’s the best way to soak in the views. A beach day would definitely make the list, with time to just slow down, enjoy the ocean, and reset. I’d plan a fun lunch at Moxies, drinks at Hidden Speakeasy, dinner at Il Paesano for the kind of cozy Italian meal that makes you linger, and coffee stops throughout the day at some of my favorite local spots like Un Attimo or Alma Matcha.

Because I lead crystal bowl sound healings, I naturally gravitate toward itineraries that create space to slow down and be present. I’d carve out time for a yoga or sound bath session, and maybe balance it with a day trip to Key Largo for Key Lime Pie and snorkling.

For me, the best part of Fort Lauderdale is that balance: you can spend one day completely laid-back by the water, the next exploring vibrant food and culture, and always find a pocket of calm to reconnect with yourself. That’s the experience I’d want to share.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My biggest shoutout goes to my family – my parents and all three of my siblings – who are entrepreneurs and founders themselves. Watching their journeys gave me the motivation and insight to know this path was possible for me too.

And of course, to the community of founders and small business owners I get to work alongside every day. Their passion, creativity, and resilience inspire me constantly. High Frequencies Collective wouldn’t exist without their trust and willingness to collaborate, and I feel lucky to play even a small part in helping them bring their visions to life.
