Meet Laura Rivero | Real Estate Expert

We had the good fortune of connecting with Laura Rivero and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Laura, how has your perspective on work-life balance evolved over time?
Work-life balance has definitely changed over time. Early on, I was focused primarily on building my career, often working long hours to close deals. Now, I’ve found that balance is key to sustaining my success and overall well-being. I’m still very committed to my work, especially now that I’ve taken on a role within my brokerage and am part of the leadership of the Miami YPN 2025 Board, but I’ve learned to be intentional about balancing my professional and personal life.
My mornings are sacred—workouts, meditation, and yoga are essential for me to start the day with energy, clarity, and focus. They set the tone for everything else. I’ve also become better at setting boundaries to ensure I have time for family, friends, and self-care. Balancing leadership responsibilities, growing my business, and staying active in my community has been a challenge, but I’ve learned that by prioritizing my health and personal time, I’m better equipped to give my best to everything I do. It’s all about finding that harmony, and when I do, I feel more fulfilled and energized both at work and in my personal life.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’ve been in the real estate industry for almost 9 years now, and I can honestly say I’m proud of the journey. What sets me apart is my passion for building meaningful relationships and providing a personalized experience for every client. Whether working with first-time buyers or ultra-luxury clientele, I aim to go above and beyond to ensure they feel supported and confident throughout the process.
Getting to where I am today wasn’t always easy. Real estate is a competitive field, and there were times I faced setbacks, but I’ve always been determined to push through. The support of my family, especially my mom, and the inspiration I draw from South Florida’s vibrant community kept me focused. Over time, I learned that persistence, patience, and adaptability are key in this industry. I also learned that success isn’t just about closing deals—it’s about being a trusted advisor and helping people realize their dreams.
What I want the world to know about my brand is that it’s built on integrity, trust, and genuine care for my clients. I’m not just selling homes; I’m helping people find their place in the world. South Florida is more than just a market to me—it’s home. I love this area, and I take pride in showcasing everything it has to offer, from its diverse culture to its amazing lifestyle. That’s what drives me every day.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend was visiting, I’d definitely plan a week full of fun, showing them the best of South Florida! We’d start with a day at the beach, of course—there’s nothing like soaking up the sun and enjoying the beautiful ocean. After that, we’d grab a cafecito and croqueticas at Versailles in Little Havana to get a taste of authentic Miami culture.
For lunch or dinner, Flanigan’s is a must—there’s no better spot for some delicious ribs or a casual bite. We’d definitely spend some time hanging out in Wynwood or Midtown. The street art, galleries, and trendy spots are perfect for a fun day of exploring. We’d also hit up some of my favorite restaurants and cocktail bars in that area.
And since Aventura is my hometown, we’d do some shopping at Aventura Mall—one of my favorite places to find great fashion, art, and local flavors. Whether it’s browsing the shops or just people-watching, it’s a great way to spend the day. It would be a week of food, fun, and taking in all the unique vibes that make South Florida so special!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d like to dedicate my shoutout to my mother. Her strength, perseverance, and unconditional love have been the foundation of everything I’ve achieved. She’s been my biggest supporter and always encouraged me to chase my dreams. I’m also incredibly thankful to my father, who has passed away, but whose influence is still very much a part of my life. Both of them worked hard to give me opportunities, and I’m forever grateful for the values they instilled in me. Their love and support have shaped the person I am today.
