We had the good fortune of connecting with Lindsey Lekhraj and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Lindsey, is there something you can share with us that those outside of the industry might not be aware of?
The wellness industry has grown immensely in the past few years, and we now have literally tons of insights about any given topic at our fingertips (thanks to social media, especially)! While I think this is great in general, a lot of clients and people in my community feel largely overwhelmed and confused about who’s got the best advice, particularly because a lot of “healthy” opinions seem to be in conflict.
One thing that I wish everyone could understand is how much our unique biochemistry plays a role in how everything affects us… from the foods we eat to the supplements we take, to sleep, exercise, you name it!
Your genes are pre-programmed to respond in specific ways, so in a nutshell, many things that work for one person won’t work for another, and vice versa.
Learning how your body is wired is an incredibly insightful and empowering way to cut through all the trends and know with a great degree of predictability what your body needs to feel your best.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Building my business has truly been a labor of love. Especially in the field of wellness, there are so many different directions, many of them under a scrutinous microscope. Finding my unique angle has been incredibly rewarding. Working in the field of Epigenetics not only solved my own health mysteries that I spent many years trying to solve, but now I help others simplify their efforts into only what works, based on their own biochemistry.
Over the years I’ve been able to study many different modalities, from deep subconscious reprogramming to holistic nutrition, Emotion Code, and many more. Epigenetics is the field that brings everything together: the tangible and the spiritual. It’s the science behind the magic of mindset work. It’s the answers that functional medicine often misses. It’s hope and direction for clients who’ve been through the ringer in many cases.
My business really all started with my own healing journey and the belief that answers were “out there” as long as I didn’t give up on myself. Now more than ever, I believe that anything is possible, as long as you keep going.
One of the most important things I’ve learned is that people don’t need you to be perfect. They don’t need you to have ALL the answers. Most of the time, they need to be heard and feel supported. It makes all the difference in the world, just adding in compassion.
The second thing– the solutions aren’t usually set in stone. Sometimes we just have to choose a path and stick to it long enough to see it through! This applies to wellness as much as it does to business strategy.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
One of the best things I’ve ever invested in for my overall wellness was actually a coaching certification with Yes Supply, Inc.
I had no idea at the time how much learning how to optimize my brain and subconscious thoughts would help me with my physical health, career path, perspective, and even daily motivation.
I’ve accomplished things I never thought possible by mastering the techniques I learned from Reese and her incredible team. I’ve never experienced a more robust program with high-touch support every step of the way.
