We had the good fortune of connecting with LV Jay and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi LV, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My thought process in starting my own business was to do something I enjoy doing and make money so I won’t have to work a 9 to 5. So I created my label “JustBecause” off the muscle. Just Because my friends and I all have talents within music and I thought to myself why not make a label so we all could put our minds together and become successful together.
Please tell us more about your work. We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today professionally. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
What set me apart from other artists is that I’m versatile. I could make difference sounds with my voice and I could make difference type of songs. It’s something that I pride myself off. I could make something for the ladies or make something that dudes could relate to. I’m most proud of my body of work right now and I know that its only going to get better from here on out. I got to where I’m at now to be honest was just believing in myself and grinding. The music industry isn’t easy but I’m not tripping. The way I overcome challenges by staying consistent and keep grinding. The lessons I learned is that people gone be fake and everyone don’t want you to do better than them. I want the world to know that JUSTBECAUSE up next.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
You come to Miami we gone eat at all the hood spots first. Spots like the green store on 95th street, Snappers , MLK restaurant. Then eventually go to Prime 112, tap24 and Houstons for a more classy setting. If we want to get some drinks we got to go to wet willies and get a superman that’s my favorite spot. Then to go out we got to go to G5 its my favorite strip club in Miami. Also, we got to hit the South beach and enjoy the water of course.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
