We had the good fortune of connecting with Melissa Lawler and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Melissa, what do you want people to remember about you?
I would like my legacy to be that people remember me as someone who cared. That I truly cared and place my family and children first. That I care about my friends and gave selflessly. That if someone was in need I was there to help and make them feel better. That if friends or family ever needed something they knew I would be there to help and care for them. I truly find joy when others are happy. This is something I carry over into my work. I love my role in helping others feel better about themselves and build confidence. Caring for others and making a difference in their lives is something I would want people to remember me for.

What should our readers know about your business?
Healthy Enhancements is an aesthetic company located in western Wellington, Florida established in 2017. Its business model was created based on the idea of “healthy” enhancements. To be able to give my clients a natural look that helps them feel confident and youthful. My beyond honest approach is something I am known for. I do not to try to over sell, over inject, or over fill my clients, I tell them honestly what I think could benefit them and allow them to get the most for their budget. By having over 20 years in nursing I look at the whole picture and their overall concerns, giving alternatives to invasive procedures and making sure they’re fully educated on all products before making a decision. I am also very thorough with my following up, I truly care about my clients well being and overall satisfaction. I make sure there is follow up within 24 hrs of their appointments to ensure they’re happy with their results. With the market becoming saturated with more and more injectors, I believe in community over competition. I collaborate and support my peers and honestly feel that there is enough wrinkles to go around and that clients will come to me because they value my work ethics, skill set, and caring personality.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
South Florida is one of the most beautiful places to live. We are so blessed with our amazing weather, scenery, and diverse people. If my best friend was visiting I would take her to Square Grouper in Jupiter. This place is the best for drinks and enjoying the ocean breeze while watching the boats come in and out of the Jupiter Inlet with the lighthouse in the background. Another place we would have to check out would be the Eau Spa on Palm Beach Island. The spa and ocean front hotel is ideal for relaxing and having quite time to catch up with a friend.

Lastly before my best friend headed home I would want a night out in downtown West Palm. Starting with dinner at Avocado Grill then head to The Ben for a roof top view of the intercoastal. Then maybe to one of the “speakeasy” bars that make original cocktails for some fun dancing.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
This shout out goes to my husband, Cletus Lawler. Not only does he help me run my business and handles the behind the scenes website, emails, promotions, and billing, he is constantly encouraging me to reach for the stars. He is my biggest cheerleader letting me know I can do anything I put my mind to and am truly talented at what I do. Cletus has been supportive since day one of my business, helping with everything from design logos to helping me carry my gear in at the end of the night. He is the one that also picks up the load of parenting when I work late. Cletus will pick up the kids from school, have them home and bathed, fed, homework completed  and still able to have a warm meal on the table for me during my late appointment evenings. It truly takes a good team to make a business successful and I am so grateful to my life long partner for all that he does.
