We had the good fortune of connecting with Michael Salzhauer and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Michael, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
We make people feel better about their bodies. When I decided to post live surgeries on Snapchat with willing patients, I knew I was taking a huge risk, but I believed it was time to change the conversation around plastic surgery. What was once a private, sometimes secretive world needed transparency and openness, and social media gave me the perfect platform to do just that. By sharing these moments, I was able to educate, entertain, and connect with people in a way that had never been done before. The response has been incredible, and it’s humbling to have become an internet phenomenon, performing thousands of surgeries and meeting patients from all over the world. More than that, I’ve built an amazing, fun, and energetic online community that supports and empowers each other. My mission has always been to help people take control of their bodies and live the life they dream of—and I’m so proud to continue that journey with all of you. I believe that plastic surgery is so much more than aesthetic satisfaction. A lot of my patients are mother’s who are want to bounce back and feel good in their skin. I also have patients who have worked extremely hard to lose weight and they want their bodies to reflect that hard work but loose skin can only be removed surgically. I feel proud that I can be someone they trust to do that.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Every day, I get to help people feel more confident in themselves, and that’s what drives me. For me, it’s not just about surgery—it’s about de-stigmatizing the idea that wanting to improve how you look is something to be ashamed of. I’m excited to keep doing this work, but let me tell you, it’s no walk in the park. It takes a lot of hard work, long hours, and plenty of sacrifices, especially when you’re trying to balance that with being a family man. I’ve learned to stay vulnerable and not take myself too seriously, because at the end of the day, we’re all just trying to be the best versions of ourselves, whatever that looks like.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’d love to give a fun Miami itinerary especially since I go by “Dr. Miami” but the truth is, I’m a homebody. I own The Dr. Miami Tower and not only is it where I work and meet with patients, it’s also complete with a gym and my beloved Throne Room. Everything I need is at The Tower. When I’m not there, I’m home with my family. As far as food goes, I’m pretty sure I keep the lights on at the UberEats headquarters.
