We had the good fortune of connecting with Parker Lee and Rafael Rabell and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Parker & Rafael, what matters most to you?
Since Enigmatic started back in August of 2018, and really the Spring of 2018 when we started to put together its launch), our values and principles that are valued the most have certainly changed and evolved over time. But the one that has always been present no matter how much we’ve grown is consistency. Consistency in outworking whoever’s in the room with us, consistency in making sure we stick to our agenda & plan for how we want to get to where we want to be, and probably above all consistency in terms of being transparent with one another in order for our mindsets to not stray from our common goal. We really believe that in order to achieve excellence in whatever you do, one of the first and most important steps to reaching that goal is you’ve got to be consistently locked in on the grit and grind needed in order to progress. We haven’t had a single handout, a single silent investor, or anyone behind the scenes in that fashion in our almost three years since launching as a company. And where one could argue that maybe a helping hand would of course make the process a little faster, or a little less stressful, etc. its a true testament to our attitude as a company and ultimately the consistency in our work ethic day in and day out that we’ve gotten this far solely off our own muscle. With many of Enigmatic’s key members of our staff and team having some sort of sports background growing up, the quote we always gravitate towards is a Pat Riley one (NBA Hall of Fame player, coach, and now Miami Heat President): “The main thing is still the main thing.” It’s a simple saying, and maybe even a little redundant, but resonates for all of us and the consistently innovative and competitive culture we’ve created and want to last for the decades to come.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Enigmatic’s whole approach creatively is to create work that leaves an impact on those it reaches. And it doesn’t matter whether that’s one person or one billion people, at the end of the day whether its in film, in fashion, or in music really what we’re ultimately striving to do is impact people positively and push the culture surrounding that medium (and its authenticity) forward. Making sure that when people hear the word Enigmatic, they know they’re going to see something or experience something they’ve never even imagined before. The world and society we live in allows for so much creative expression and creative vision so at the end of the day, even if every idea under the sun has been thought of we just want to bring something new to the table and continuously create ‘1 of 1s’. Especially in our hometown of Orlando, where Enigmatic is based, we feel there’s a very unique opportunity to engrain a lot of creative elements in the culture that are prominent in other major cities but aren’t there in Orlando just yet. Nothing about the work we do is easy, and most of the time it may even initially go under appreciated. There’s certainly a lot of trial and error in all of our projects that we embrace wholeheartedly. However, we know at the end of the day that once again whether we inspire one person or the entire city it’ll still keep that creative evolution rolling.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Our biggest shoutout always goes first and foremost to our families and closest supporters. One of the coolest parts about Enigmatic is that the core group of individuals that work for the company have all been close friends since as far back as the 4th grade. So to never have given up on each other and to have each other’s back not just through growing up but now growing a business is a special bond that we’ll all cherish forever. Of course we’ve got to shoutout our hometown in Orlando and home state of Florida. Having the opportunity to grow a business that’s end goal is to have a lasting impact in creating a positive culture surrounding the arts (music, film, fashion, etc.) in our communities all over Florida is the privilege of a lifetime and putting on for our city and our state isn’t something we take lightly.
