We had the good fortune of connecting with Peterson Morency and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Peterson, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I always wanted to start my own business.. I played basketball all my life and I just wanted to teach these kids the game and work on their skill and teach them things that I got taught and just to be a role model to them.. Teaching them life lessons also and giving them hope and letting them know never quit on nothing in life. So I started my basketball training business

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Well I train kids.. I’m a skills basketball trainer and I just teach kids the game of basketball. Work on their skill, ball handling, their shooting, IQ, and more! Im always excited when im working with these kids, I love watching them grow and get better and better daily! I learned to always work hard no matter the circumstance, it’ll always be ups and downs you just have to weather the storm and keep going! Never give up on your dreams, chase them. I came up with the name NBA94Ft training

The NBA stands for NEVER BE AVERAGE
And it means exactly what it says. Never be average in anything you do. Aim to be the best or don’t do it at all. Do everything with a sense of urgency. To be elite it takes a special kind of drive, special kind of dedication and grit and that’s what I teach every kid I train

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my friend came out in the area I’d definitely take them down to south beach maybe show them around show them the great restaurants down there especially if they’re not from Miami you know, probably take them to a nice steak house like mastros ocean club, have a couple drinks, probably also go atv riding, go to the movies , or even go play ball somewhere that’s what I love to do also.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I shout out my friend Rudy that got me into this training business and kind of teaching me and showing me the ropes. Also want to thank my family for supporting my decision and my friends and the program I also coach which is SOH ELITE travel program and the coaches that also gave me ideas and advice about training kids
