Hi Philip, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind my success and the success of Bennett Capital Partners Mortgage is building relationships, not just closing transactions. From the start, I focused on trust, clear communication, and delivering results. In the mortgage business, timing and accuracy can decide if a deal closes, so I make sure every client and partner knows they can count on me. Whether it is helping a client with a complex condo loan, finding a creative Non-QM solution, or answering a call late at night to keep a deal moving, I am all in. By staying consistent, acting with integrity, and focusing on our clients’ long-term goals, we have built a reputation that keeps growing year after year.

What should our readers know about your business?
Bennett Capital Partners Mortgage Brokers was built with one goal in mind, to give clients a higher level of service and expertise than they can find anywhere else. We are a boutique mortgage brokerage based in Miami, serving all of Florida, and we specialize in everything from conventional and FHA loans to complex condo financing, Non-QM loans, and investment property funding. One of our biggest differentiators is our commercial lending expertise. From multifamily developments to mixed-use projects, we structure deals that many brokers cannot. My own success in commercial real estate has given me the insight, relationships, and negotiation skills to help clients close on high-value transactions that require precision and creativity.

Getting here was not easy. When I started, I was a one-person operation handling every aspect of the business, from marketing to underwriting to client calls. There were long nights, setbacks, and moments when I had to dig deep to keep moving forward. What kept me going was my belief that relationships matter more than transactions, and that if I consistently delivered on my promises, the business would grow.

What sets us apart is our problem-solving ability and willingness to go the extra mile. In this business, no two deals are alike. Many clients come to us after being turned down elsewhere, and we find a way to get them to the closing table. That trust has led to long-term relationships and a steady stream of referrals, both on the residential and commercial sides of the business.

The biggest lessons I have learned are to stay adaptable, keep learning, and never take shortcuts on client service. The mortgage industry changes constantly, and the only way to stay ahead is to embrace those changes while holding on to the core values that built the business.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If a best friend was visiting Miami for a week, I would want them to experience the city the way locals do — with the perfect mix of culture, food, and time on the water. We would start with breakfast at Greenstreet Café in Coconut Grove, then walk around the marina to take in the views. From there, we would spend the afternoon on a boat, cruising past Star Island and stopping at the Haulover sandbar.

For dinner, I would take them to Mandolin Aegean Bistro in the Design District for incredible Mediterranean food in a beautiful garden setting. Later in the week, we would explore Little Havana, have cafecito at a ventanita, and enjoy live music at Ball & Chain. No trip would be complete without visiting Wynwood for its art murals and dinner at KYU.

We would spend one day in Key Biscayne for the beach and another driving down to the Florida Keys for fresh seafood and island vibes. For a night out, Brickell has rooftop lounges with amazing skyline views. And because Miami is as much about relaxation as excitement, we would wrap up the trip with a quiet Sunday brunch by the water at Rusty Pelican, looking back at the city that truly never gets old.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to dedicate my shoutout to my parents, who instilled in me the values of hard work, integrity, and perseverance. Their example taught me that success is built on consistency and doing the right thing even when no one is watching. I also want to thank the incredible real estate professionals, past clients, and referral partners who have trusted me over the years. Their support has allowed Bennett Capital Partners Mortgage Brokers to grow into what it is today. Finally, I am grateful for the mentors and peers in the mortgage industry who have shared their knowledge and challenged me to keep raising the bar. Every relationship and lesson learned along the way has played a role in shaping both me and my business.
