Meet Shea Pardais

We had the good fortune of connecting with Shea Pardais and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Shea, is there something you believe many others might not?
I respectfully disagree with the conventional notion of adhering to a traditional 9-to-5 work schedule. For an extended period of my life, I was influenced by the belief that pursuing a diploma would guarantee employment in a monotonous and unfulfilling job. This prevailing principle proved to be a significant impediment to my personal growth and creative expression. However, when I observed individuals who shared my passions and found joy in pursuing their interests, it ignited a fire within me, inspiring me to pursue a career in DJing. I wholeheartedly encourage individuals of all ages to embrace their passions and channel their energy into fulfilling endeavors.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Music has always been an integral part of my being. My mother recounted an anecdote from my infancy, when I would sing along to song hooks before uttering my first words. My inaugural vocal performance was “My, My, My” by Johnny Gill. Throughout my life, I have consistently engaged with music in various forms. From playing instruments to pursuing an opera degree in college, I have embraced the diverse aspects of musical expression. However, I found that the rigors of the opera major did not align with my aspirations, leading me to explore alternative career paths.
Years of working unfulfilling jobs gradually filled a void within me. One pivotal moment came when I met my partner, Bri. Her unwavering support and belief in my potential illuminated a glimmer of hope within me. She accompanied me as I acquired my sound equipment and even assisted me in securing my first gig. This experience imparted a profound life lesson: the importance of cultivating meaningful relationships.
There are individuals in our world who serve as mere hype-persons, amplifying our own strengths rather than fostering personal growth. My purpose as a musician transcends fleeting transitions or mere snippets of songs. I play for the profound emotional connection I establish with the audience. When I gaze into their smiling faces and witness their enjoyment of the music, it fills me with a sense of fulfillment. The most gratifying comments I receive are those expressing the uncontrollable movement and positive response to my performances.
Despite my upbringing in the 1990s, I have developed a passion for exploring various musical genres. Music’s universality lies in its ability to transcend boundaries and captivate audiences of all ages. By skillfully blending different genres, I strive to keep the crowd engaged and entertained, ensuring that everyone can experience the joy of music.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to dedicate this shoutout to my world, which consists of my partner, Bri, and my daughter, Yana. My partner embodies all the confidence I possess. She maintains authenticity while always emanating love and personal growth. Witnessing her journey from traditional work to entrepreneurship has been incredibly inspiring. My daughter, Yana, is brimming with curiosity and love, and she idolizes me, which in turn fills my heart with immense joy. I cherish both of them beyond measure.
