We had the good fortune of connecting with Toni Hill and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Toni, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
As a teenager I had my share of challenges that could have led me down a much different path than I am on today.
Once I reached adulthood, I developed a strong desire to help young girls. After sitting with myself, I realize this is my purpose.
The business was a bit challenging to start. It took lots of research and dedication without a doubt. I had learned everything from business structure, marketing, acquiring volunteers as well as acquisition of program participants.
Once I was able to lay the foundations for the program, I was truly able to home in on my vision. This was exciting like a dream come true and overwhelming at the same time. Luckily, I had the support of two co-founders who I meet with weekly to discuss, critique and molding of the program to its launch in 2019…. I could only hope to continue to make an impact in young lives and eventually do so on a larger scale as my ultimate goal is to open group homes to coincide with the program.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We mentor young girls who are facing life challenges that are affecting key areas in their day-to-day life. Our mission is to be a listening ear and provide the assistance and services to transform the lives of our girls. What sets us apart is, giving up isn’t an option, we’ll always be around and up for the challenge. I’m proud that we have started the process and are taking the necessary steps to improve as we progress. Having faith and understanding it’s not about me, is what keeps me going. I’ve learned my timing isn’t a factor, as long as we’re taking the necessary steps and staying consistent everything will work out in due time. I would like the world to know that we are a nonjudgement zone, come as you are and that’s where we meet you.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Here is little something!
Eau Spa In WPB
RH Rooftop WPB
Downtown Delray Beach
TownCenter Mall in Boca Raton
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Absolutely, Tangila Akins and Jami McClary, both are the co-founders. They have been of tremendous help from day one with the development and success of the program.
