We had the good fortune of connecting with Yvenson Ervil and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Yvenson, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
I believe that risk are a necessary part of life in order to see growth, and as corny or cliche it may sound failure is the best teacher. Taking risk has put me in some very difficult positions but through those tough times it has also challenged me and forced me to adapt, expand, and grow. Taking risk shows bravery. I took a risk and left home to attended a college far away, and in doing so I was able to network and experience the real world. In the end I was able to graduate college with more than just a degree. Risk gave me the courage to get married young teaching me that a relationship is a commitment and like everything in life it’s something you must work at everyday in order to grow. Finally, after taking probably one of my biggest risk I was able to buy my first home/investment property at the age of 25. In order to find out who you truly are you have to take risk, everyday is a risk I’m just choosing to chase my dreams and find my true purpose with mine.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My end goal aspirations are all in real estate. I currently own 1 home and I’m looking to add to my resume of real estate very soon. My passion for this comes from the generational effect it will have on my children. This will set them up for the future with less need to stress and more to explore, create, and build. It was not easy nor a smooth process by any means. If it would have been smooth there are many lessons I wouldn’t have learned, so for that I am grateful. After my time passes I want not a single ounce of my talent to have been wasted. I want to stand before God proud knowing I did everything I could and I made a difference in the lives of others.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’ve grown to enjoy traveling so ideally I would want to do something out of my city but I’m also spontaneous so even fishing off a pier, going go carting, and exploring new parks. Simply checking out the cities local events.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
