Owning a business has taught me many valuable lessons about life, people, and myself. However, the lesson that has stuck with me the most is to “trust the process.” When owning a business, there is a lot of planning, time, and hard-work that plays a role. But, sometimes things do not go according to plan and that is when you “trust the process.” There are going to be times where things take longer to play out or they don’t go how you expected them too. But, when you do trust the process, those circumstances will exceed your expectations and teach you how sometimes things may not go your way because there is something better waiting for you. Expect Failure. Not to be too hard on myself when I fail. Failure is better than quitting. When I fail I have another chance to try again until I get it right. When I quit I gave up on myself. Failure is not the end of everything but the chance of a new beginning. It’s okay to start over.
